NEW HIGH SCHOOL DRAMA

The Author of this post is Velma Baird

I started watching a new teenage television drama with directtv on the CW. Yes, I fell for another one, and this time it is a lot different than the “O.C.”, but then again it isn’t that different at all. Teenage love quarrels, crazy parents (Maurissa’s Mom is even in this one and hooking up with another teenage boy). Except this teenage high school drama is set in a small town in Virginia with a long history of vampires. Usually, I don’t fall into vampire shows, but this one I have ended up really liking. Over the last couple of months they have played season one and season two. I have really enjoyed it. I definitely caught most of the episodes when I was home for break. Season three starts in January. I will definitely be watching it. I hope that this show lasts longer than the “O.C.” did. That show rose so quickly and fell really hard. I think that I had seen every episode. Mischa Barton got way to big for her britches.

A Fall Purse to Match My Downsized Wardrobe

Guest post written by Kathy Herman

I've been working really hard this summer to lose weight and I'm so proud to say that I've lost 20 pounds! This is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and I finally reaped the rewards when I went shopping for fall clothes. But to go with all of those things, I need to make sure that I also get a few cute purses to go with my new downsized wardrobe so that I'll look all cute and pulled together with my new physique.

When it came to my accessories though, I did some online shopping because I wouldn't have to try those one and decide which size to wear. While I was online shopping for the purses, I ran across some info on clear TV. I looked through it and showed it to my roommates before I decided to change over our TV service to it.

I did find the perfect fall purse with this neutral light brown as the main color and dark gray as the accent colors on it. It looks so ladylike but still hip enough so that it will go with most of my outfits.

Best Thing Ever

The article written by Alonso Kramer

Getting married was the best thing I ever did but it also totally turned my life upside down. I know that sounds silly but my husband lived out here in Texas so I had to move everything I owned from Georgia to here and it was quite a transition for both me and my family since we were all so close. I’m getting used to it out here and I even lined up a teaching job to start in December for a lady who’s having a baby in the fall and I can’t wait to get started! I’ve been doing the wifely duties at home like cleaning and researching HughesNet Internet in Texas and I feel like I’m really getting the hang of being someone’s significant other. I love being married and my husband an I really like all the BBQ they eat out here in the Lone Star state, too! That’s not the worst thing about moving!

First Place in the Sandcastle Building Contest

Guest post written by James Hutton

The resort town where our family has a beach house always hosts an annual sandcastle building contest around the 4th of July. Well, last year our family actually won first place in it! We always did pretty well at it, but we were all really excited and surprised when we won overall last year.

Well, I thought that it wouldn't hurt to do some research on designs before hand. So I was doing that online a few days ago when I saw hearingaidsbymiracleear.com and read through it. Then after that I got a hearing test done and got fitted with some comfy feeling hearing aids.

It's almost like they're not even there! Which is good because we're really going to have to pull our weight at the sandcastle building contest this year and I don't need any distractions from building the best sandcastle ever in that short amount of time. I know that we're going to have some stiff competition, but I really think that we can pull together and win first place again.

Indoor House Plants That Aren't Too Much Trouble

Guest post written by Sidney Brooks

I remember when I was a little girl, one of my household chores was to water all of our houseplants. It seemed like a huge task then because we had several of them, even though now in retrospect it probably wasn't that much work. So I had a lot against houseplants for a long time because of that. But I'm tired of feeling that way and decided that I would just take the plunge and buy some houseplants for our home anyway.

I went online to figure out some of the houseplants that would require the least amount of maintenance. While I was looking through that, I saw the website Get.WildBlue.com. I looked through it some and after that I decided to switch over our home internet access to the service.

Some of the indoor house plants are supposedly the ones that require the least amount of maintenance. But I also fot a few that require a little bit more just as kind of a test to see how much maintenance I can handle with the plants.

Places to Find PetCareRx Reviews

This is a sponsored guest post written by PetCareRx on behalf of PetCareRx . Post powered by Sponzai.

PetCareRx is an online pet pharmacy that offers medications and products at up to 50% savings over the veterinarian. Pet owners can take advantage of these savings in order to buy prescription drugs for their pets. In addition to medications, the online store also sells pet food, accessories, toys, and other pet related products. Since we are talking about a store that sells products directly related to the health of your pets, it should come as no surprise that there are a fair number of people looking for PetCareRx reviews in order to verify the legitimacy and reputation of the business. With this in mind, it is worth asking where legitimate PetCareRx reviews can be found before making any purchases.

The first place to look is directly on the company's website. A countless series of reviews left by customers is located in the testimonials section.  There are numerous amounts of testimonials left on this site that anyone has access to view. In addition to being able to view these testimonials, visitors coming to the site are free to leave their own reviews and comments.

Customers are not the only source of PetCareRx reviews, of course. By looking for the opinion of ratings agencies and certification boards, it is possible to discover the reputation that the company has built for itself in the professional realm. One of the best places to start is with the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. This organization reviews online pharmacies for their legitimacy and reputation and ensures that they only sell EPA & FDA approved medications. Vet-VIPPS is an accreditation provided by the board  that focuses specifically on veterinary pharmacies. There are only eight sources that have obtained Vet-VIPPS certification, PetCareRx being one of them.

PetzTown, a site that reviews online pet health companies, has also spoken quite favorably of the online pharmacy. They point out that all of the prescriptions on the site are approved by the FDA and EPA, the site is very easy to use, and offers some of the most competitive prices on the market. They conclude their review by saying "website has unbeatable prices and a great selection."

Benefits of Purchasing a Total Protect Home Warranty

This is a sponsored guest post written by Cross Country Home Services on behalf of Cross Country Home Services. Post powered by Sponzai.

The Total Protect Home Warranty offered by insurance carriers provides many benefits for homeowners. Along with the coverage provided to repair major appliances if they break down, members can also receive access to a special discount appliance buyers club. Anytime a homeowner researches purchasing an upgraded appliance for their home, they can contact the Appliance Buy Line Discount Buying Service to receive up to 30% off the suggested retail price of their new appliance. This service includes major name brands for all major home appliances.

In addition to purchase discounts for new appliances, the warranty service provides repair coverage for all major appliances in a home, normally regardless of brand or age of the appliance. This coverage usually includes plumbing systems, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, ceiling fans, garbage disposals, dishwashers, washers and dryers, stoves and ranges and built in microwaves. Actual coverage limits can vary by state and provider; however, the cost of the coverage can be thousands less than paying for repairs without the coverage. All the covered appliances are the major appliances homeowners use the most, and usually use on a daily basis. The premium cost of covering these major appliances can make the difference between a day or two without air conditioning or heating and trying to scratch up the hundreds to thousands to have the unit repaired or replaced. The benefits well outweigh the cost of the premium, making repair protection an excellent addition to the traditional homeowners insurance policy.

What an HMS Home Warranty Has to Offer

This is a sponsored guest post written by Cross Country Home Services on behalf of Cross Country Home Services. Post powered by Sponzai.

As a home owner, it is virtually guaranteed that your home's major appliances and systems will need to be repaired or replaced at least once during the lifetime of your home, typically a great deal more often then that. A family is not always financially prepared for this situation when it occurs, which can lead to unfortunate complications. Thankfully, an HMS Home Warranty prevents this from becoming an issue.

The most obvious benefit of an HMS Home Warranty is the fact that it protects your family from financial strife. The warranty acts as an insurance plan for your home appliances, including HVAC systems, wiring, plumbing, washers and driers, dishwashers, built in microwaves, ovens, water heaters, garbage disposals, and so forth. When these systems break down, the costs can exceed hundreds or even thousands of dollars. With a home warranty, the home owner generally only has to pay a small deductible for repairs and or replacement of the failed item.

An HMS Home Warranty also offers convenience. It takes time and patience to find a contractor who can repair your system satisfactorily, at a decent price. HMS has a large network of qualified contractors, meaning that they will do the work of finding a contractor for you. The fact that all of the repairs are covered by a 180 day guarantee means that you don't have to be concerned about the quality of the work.

In some states, the HMS Home Warranty comes with locksmith services as well. Other benefits include discounts on new home appliances, and additional coverage if it is desired.

My Neighbors Probably Think I'm Special...

Note: Guest Post from Jewel Rodgers

This morning, I was the first one awake. I crept past Abby's room and started the coffee pot. All was silent, it was still dark outside, and I was looking forward to driving Abby to school later and having the house to myself. I didn't have to wake her up for another hour, and everything was silent. Sipping my coffee, I sat near the window and watched the snow come down.

My reverie was broken when I heard a scuffling sound coming from the direction of the garage. It grew louder. Since the break-in last year, I've become more vigilant about following my instincts. I tied my robe shut, grabbed Todd's old baseball bat, and set the home security alarm from home-alarm-systems.com behind me. I was glad Abby was still sleeping.

I peeked around the corner and saw a man crouching in the shadows behind the garbage cans. The figure stood up, I raised the bat over my head and let out a shriek that I hoped sounded intimidating. I recognized Mr. Langtree just before I brained him with the aluminum bat. He had Mr. Mittens, his ancient cat, in his arms. I lowered my weapon and we had a good laugh over it. There I was, Mother of the year, in Todd's blue robe and my own huge, pink, fuzzy slippers.

I told Abby about it on the way to school. She laughed and asked if Mr. Mittens planned on raiding the trash again anytime soon. He probably will, as soon as I've recovered my dignity.

PetCareRx Reviews

This is a sponsored guest post written by PetCareRx Reviews on behalf of PetCareRx Reviews. Post powered by Sponzai.

Shopping online offers a level of convenience that you can't get from a local store, and since there are fewer operating costs, the prices are often lower as well. However, a customer needs to be sure that they are working with the best company available. PetCareRx is one of the best options out there.

When shopping for your pets medications your first concern should be the safety and health of your pet. PetCareRx is a business that understands this. They have been a licensed pharmacy since 1998, and all of the medications they sell have been approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Food & Drug Administration (FDA). PetCareRx also has several full time pharmacists on staff to supervise and monitor every outgoing prescription order. A stringent verification process, involving a 12 point check system, is undergone for every order made through the company.

In addition to ensuring that your pet is receiving the right medication in the highest quality possible, the pharmacy can also guarantee the lowest prices. The PetCareRx customer service guarantee states that if a customer can find a lower price for the same FDA and EPA approved medication, the online pharmacy will match the price. Their price match guarantee even includes the cost of shipping. Of course, PetCareRx will only do so if the competitor is a Vet-VIPPS certified pharmacy, which means that they are a certified licensed pharmacy and sell only EPA and FDA approved medications.

WebVisible Empowers Small Business Advertisers

This is a sponsored guest post written by WebVisible on behalf of WebVisible. Post powered by Sponzai.

WebVisible is yet again empowering small business advertisers with unprecedented visibility and control over their online campaign performance. Their new Merchant Center 1.6 is complete with a battery of enhancements to the company’s easy-to-use, interactive campaign dashboard. Merchant Center provides local online advertisers and reseller partners 24/7 access to a search campaign’s performance, activity and results. WebVisible has also unveiled refinements to its award-winning Geneva Technology Platform, managing ad variations and providing extended location targeting. Geneva extends the capabilities of search engines to simplify campaign management. WebVisible’s commitment to excellence and constant research and development is what sets them in a league of their own.

New to Merchant Center 1.6 is an exclusive Call Mapping capability that enables advertisers to see exactly where calls are coming from on an interactive map, and thereby focus marketing efforts on high or low penetration areas. Call Mapping shows top locations by call volume, pegged to the advertiser’s service area. Complementing Call Mapping is a series of additional enhancements such as, Call Grading, Call Blocking, Call Exclusion and Call Control Panel.

Call Grading allows advertisers to easily rate calls to identify strong and weak leads; merchants can use this data to help tune campaign keywords and advertising content that drives the highest-value leads.

Call Blocking prevents unwanted callers, such as solicitors, from calling inbound sales lines by blocking their phone numbers -- but without losing call history.

Call Exclusion removes non-sales calls from campaign reports without blocking numbers, to increase accuracy of campaign metrics – again, without losing call history.

Call Control Panel consolidates Merchant Center 1.6 enhancements in a highly intuitive user interface, providing graphical analysis and push-button controls over various leads and channels.

This new technology makes the opportunity cost effective for small business owners who can’t afford to waste time on low value leads and distractions. Enhancements help them to see and attract the highest value business opportunities, and tune campaigns to make sure their ad dollars are working for them in the right service areas.

How an HMS Home Warranty Protects Your Financial Situation

This is a sponsored guest post written by HMS Home Warranty on behalf of HMS Home Warranty. Post powered by Sponzai.

Home insurance comes with the security of knowing that no matter what may happen in your life, you won't have to worry about losing your home to a disaster. The same can't be said for the breakdown of a major appliance, however. Not only that, but the possibility that a breakdown will occur is virtually guaranteed. It is a fact of life that appliances eventually get old and break down. At an absolute minimum, they will require regular maintenance in order to stay operational.

When a major appliance breaks down, it certainly isn't as devastating as losing a home. Even so, it can become a financial burden, and many families may have to reduce their quality of life for several months when something breaks down. Thankfully, there is a solution in order to deal with this problem. An HMS Home Warranty acts like an insurance plan for all of the major appliances in your home.

When an air conditioning system breaks down, it can cost over six thousand dollars to have it replaced. Other home repairs may not be as expensive, but even a washer or drier can cost as much as seven hundred dollars to replace. Often times, a family simply doesn't have that kind of cash on hand. This means that you would be forced to take on debt, or go without the appliance, in order to continue making your monthly payments on time.

With an HMS Home Warranty, you can eliminate these financial concerns. When you pay for an HMS Home Warranty, you know that you are paying for a service that you will ultimately need anyway. Appliances require maintenance and repair. This is simply the reality of any heavily used, long-lasting system. With an HMS Home Warranty, you can distribute the costs of these services without having to worry about taking on any debt.

An Orchestra Concert at Church

Guest post written by Marsha Tillman

My kids have always had some kind of music concert going on—even now that they’re in college. My daughter plays the violin and my son plays the trumpet, and both still actively play in shows whenever they come home. I’m just thrilled that they’ve both kept practicing their music after all these years!

They actually played together yesterday night in the church orchestra, which was a blast to see. Well, my husband and I hit traffic and got there a little late, so we had to sit closer to the back. I thought the group sounded great, but my husband kept asking me if I could hear the music very well. I told him that I could—and that if he couldn’t, to maybe consider getting his hearing checked.

It took a bit of convincing, but he actually went our local Miracle-Ear location today to get the test. As it turns out, he definitely needed hearing aids, and has needed them for a while. Luckily, the kids are coming home to play in the orchestra again in a few weeks, so he’ll be able to hear them crystal clear!

Drive-in Movie Time

Guest post of the week by Brittany Booker

My wife and I rarely get to enjoy a night out because of conflicting work schedules. During the summer months, our schedules do relax a bit more and we tend to take advantage of this and spend quality evenings together. One of our favorite things to do is go to the local drive-in for a number of reasons.

We get to see two movies for less money than a movie theater charges for one movie ticket. The drive-in that we go to has three screens so there is always a great variety, and there is almost always something we want to see. The concession stand has inexpensive favorites such as home-made french fries with melted cheddar cheese drizzled over them. Yes, it is extremely unhealthy, but a plate of junk food now and again is good for a person!

The best part about it is we get to bring our two dogs with us. We enjoy taking them to the dog park or to a friend's house for a barbecue, but this is the only public place we can take them and have such a great time. We don't worry about leaving the house unattended because we were able to get a adt security system around fort worth TX, so we even have peace of mind while we are enjoying our night out. We usually see friends there as well, so we get to socialize with them between the two featured movies. This is definitely one of our favorite ways to spend a nice summer night together.

Let the March Group Help Sell Part of Your Business to Earn Working Capital

This is a sponsored guest post written by The March Group on behalf of The March Group. Post powered by Sponzai.

No matter how much a company earns or spends, that same business must have a great deal of ready cash that operators can access in order to pay costs and expand operations. To be successful, companies must always have a fund for this kind of working capital. If these companies do not have working capital, unexpected events could virtually kill their respective businesses.

Working capital enables a company to prosper, as well as survive an emergency. Responsible business people understand what happens when companies do not have working capital. They simply fail to grow, eventually going bankrupt. In a few of these cases, these businesses could have survived if they had less debt and more working capital.

In order to obtain working capital, business owners must sometimes sell a part of their companies. When that event arises, these operators need a strong, reputable financial firm to counsel them through the point of sale. They need The March Group.

The March Group is a firm of financial experts that acts as a mediator during acquisitions and mergers among middle-market companies. For almost twenty-five years, The March Group has worked in the best interests of clients throughout the world. A company that acts globally, as well as locally, The March Group knows the commitment that it takes to build a profitable business. That is why the firm works its hardest to ensure that its clients’ businesses prosper, even during the worst financial crises.

Selling a portion of one’s business is a great way to generate working capital, and The March Group remains with its clients until that point of sale. Once the papers are signed, however, the firm continues to counsel clients about the financial aspects of their companies. In the end, The March Group is not simply there for the sale; it will always continue to act in the interests of its loyal clients.

Team up with the March Group and Earn Money for Retirement

This is a sponsored guest post written by The March Group on behalf of The March Group. Post powered by Sponzai.

Andrew Carnegie started out with very little. As a young immigrant from Scotland, Carnegie worked several jobs throughout his young life in America. By his middle age, Carnegie had monopolized the mass production of steel with his Carnegie Steel Company. By the time he retired, selling his holdings to J.P. Morgan, Carnegie had more money than he could ever handle. As a result, he became one of the world’s most prolific philanthropists. Nearly one hundred years after Carnegie’s death, he is still considered one of the richest, most successful business owners that ever lived.

Sadly, not every business owner or entrepreneur is Andrew Carnegie. When these business owners retire, they will never have the money that Carnegie commanded during his philanthropic ventures. Nevertheless, business owners today can still sell their companies for a comfortable retirement. Seeking out the financial expertise of The March Group is the first step.

The life of a moderately successful business owner never parallels that of Carnegie’s fairy tale. Still, The March Group, a middle-market investment firm that specializes in mergers and acquisitions, works to ensure that business owners can turn a great profit from selling their businesses. The profits gained from sale ultimately allow these hard-working individuals to retire. With The March Group, these retirees can finally slow down and enjoy a retirement that allows them to still turn profits.

Starting a business takes a great deal of courage. Retiring from that same business takes even more determination. During the moments of uncertainty, The March Group will be there to help guide its clients toward retirement. While the majority of business owners will not turn the same profit from their company’s sale as that of Andrew Carnegie, The March Group ensures that these owners never need to worry about the nuts and bolts of business again. Instead, they can finally enjoy the easy life. Philanthropic endeavors are, of course, optional.

My Own “Dark Ages”

Guest posting compliments of Andrea Moon

There have been few times in my life where I haven't had internet access. Growing up, Around the time of my later teens, it was something that was just always there. It was accessed everyday and sometimes even taken for granted. If you had questions you used the internet. You would forgo the traditional way of listening to music, seeing movies, having an infinite amount of available options to stream online.

There have been times where I haven't been able to afford the clear bundle. These times I often refer to "the dark ages". You feel out of the loop. You cannot instantly figure out the random questions, that pop up, and grate on your mind. The internet is extremely important in my life. It is the most often used source of media in my house. I use it to find recipes, to clip coupons, and text my boyfriend. I read blogs, and connect with people millions of miles away from me. I use the internet to shop, and to make money, marketing my skills. Social media is more often used to keep in touch with friends and family, then phone calls. I use an mp3 player, instead of cds, and i grab my music online. We plan trips, and get walking directions in town online. Sometimes, the internet is thought of as some distraction, something of little importance. The internet is my breath of fresh air, affording me to learn, and make the quality of my life significantly better.
