My Sister Faye

This is my sister - Honey Faye. She's a 4th year high school student and will be graduating this coming March 2010. I miss her a lot. She's enjoying her high school life. She was sad when I told her that I cannot attend her graduation but I know that she understand why I can't go home. To my sister, Faye, good luck and may God bless you all the time.

Gloomy Day!

It has been so dry for the past 3 weeks of the summer. I am always wishing for the rain to come but I have no luck. The sun keeps on hiding and it feels like it is going to rain but the sun will come out from time to time that I have been wishing for the rain. Last week, it rained but just a few drops. It is not enough to water the grass to turn them to color green again. I wish it will rain, I wish!

Just Visiting

Alright. I am still here after all. I just need more time to concentrate on blogging especially for the task that was given to me. For now, I just can't find enough time to think and give this blog a post. I am busy at work and being a wife. Plus, I am getting crazy (addicted) to this game at Facebook - Farm Town. It is the talk of the town.

When I wake up in the morning, I open my PC and play Farm Town. That's all I do when I am having a break at work. It is always Farm Town. I have been hiding to my boss and husband for playing this addictive game. Trust me, you will love Farm Town. So I have to go now and continue doing my work here. I need to save money, you know. I will see you every now and then. I am still here and I will try to make a post once in a while so you don't get visiting my page. Thanks!

4th Of July

It has been two years since I came here in the United States. I have mixed emotions on what to expect and looking forward for everything since I set foot in this foreign country. My husband was carefully observing me and waiting for some words that will come out of my mouth. It was definitely a big change for me. Many things have changed since I came here. Traveled 30 states for 2 years, got a wonderful job that pays well and I can have my 6-month vacation during the winter time.

I have learned so many things, and I am still looking forward to learn for more. This is my second home away from my own home. I am celebrating the Independence Day of United States of America and my 2nd year living in the United States!

Here I Am!

After one week of not being online, not visiting any other blogs, not posting anything to my blog, I am finally back. My PC was in the computer shop for over a week and I felt so laid back after being offline from the internet world. It feels like, I am restless and looking for something new. I watched TV a lot, I worked harder and never mind what time of the day it is. I guess, when I faced my computer a lot, I am out of nowhere because I focus more what's on my screen especially that I got addicted from Farm Town in my Facebook. Everyone is hooked with this virtual game. It feels like my own farm sanctuary and I enjoyed it a lot.

Four days more and the month of June will be over. I am living in the United States for almost 2 years now (July 4, 2009 will be 2 years). I felt like there's a lot of changes. Maybe because we have moved 3 times already and travels a lot too. I like finding myself looking for some challenges, some changes and some adventures on our way. My husband and I are inseparable at all times. I am living a wonderful and happy life. Thanks to God!

We Are Home!

Back to reality! I exclaimed to my husband. We got home around 3PM yesterday, April 1st. Our 8 hours flight from Honolulu, Hawaii to St. Paul, Minnesota was a little bit rough. I didn't sleep during our entire flight. I went to watch 3 movies on board - nonstop! I had a bad colds a day before our flight going home. I got a terrible headache! When the plane landed in Minneapolis - St. Paul, Minnesota, we had to wait for our connecting flight to Grand Forks, North Dakota for 3 hours.

I really need to get some sleep. I will be back to work very soon. I will keep you posted! Thanks!

Back To Mainland

After spending 2 weeks in Hawaii, we are now back in the U.S. mainland. This time, I can't wait to get back to work and earn some money for our next adventure. Our vacation in Hawaii was a blast and we really had a great time. We visited 3 islands of Hawaii namely Oahu, Big Island and Kauai. I wanted to go to Maui but it is not on our itinerary so maybe the next time I will visit Hawaii, the island of Maui is in for our next adventure. I had fun, got a tanned-skin and enjoyed our wonderful vacation in Hawaii.

Now that we are back, we have a lot of things to do. I have to go back to work and perhaps do a little grass mowing or gardening. I have to work to earn money for so many things.

Are You a Maneater?

You're a Part Time Maneater

While you're not a black widow,
you've definitely left a few guys feeling used and abused.

You're only out for fun, but sometimes
you get a little carried away with your flirting.

Cute guys tend to make you lose control.
You really can't help it!

You're a good girl at heart...
you just can't help but let your bad girl side out sometimes!

My Number One!

Two days ago, Grace of Lily of the Valley tagged me about Top Five Women and so I started doing the tag but then it took me two days to finished it. I saved it in my drafts and went back each day to write something. When it comes to listing my Top 5 Women I admire most, I took a moment to choose which really influence my life.

On the other hand, Amiable Amy tagged me about the Top 5 Women and finally posted it in my other blog - A Place of Reflection today. I also want to include my MOTHER who made a very interesting role in my entire life. She is actually the number one - always on the top of my list! I miss her so much.

Nose Bleed!

Yes, literally, my nose is bleeding not because I am having a hard time speaking in English. Few minutes after I woke up with a bad headache and found out that my nose is bleeding. I thought I was gonna die! I know I am just acting exaggerated and this happens to me for the first time. Right now, I should be taking a rest. The weather is crazy over here and we have negative temperatures for almost a week now. It's been snowing for the past 3 days and we are filled with pure, crystal and fine ice once again.

Friday The 13th

It's Friday the 13th! It is a superstition about a day of good or bad luck. Some people will say that the number 13 is a lucky number but some will say that it also brings bad luck to anyone. Do you believe in this statement? Some people may believe it and some are not. We should not forget to always pray and thank God above all.

We are suppose to go skiing and snowboarding today but the husband said it is Friday the 13th. He said, he's not really a superstitious person but he doesn't want to push his luck for this day. Well, there will always be next time, right?

The Elephant Ride

What do you want to do in Bangkok, Thailand? This is the question I asked my husband. His answer was really funny. He told me that he want to ride the elephant. I thought he was just kidding with me. I laughed at his answer. How about you? What do you want to do in Bangkok, Thailand?

Make Me Choose!

I can't make a right decision! A friend I met 4 months ago is inviting me to go to a birthday party tomorrow. I am choosing between snow skiing or the birthday party tomorrow. She called me twice today and still I haven't decided anything yet.

The husband told me that if I want to go and attend the birthday party, we can just move the snow skiing on the next day which is on Saturday. I agreed to his idea without ruining the entire plan. Besides, we have been planning this for the whole week. Whatever my decision will be at the end of the day, my wish will still happen on Saturday!

Excited For The Weekend!

I haven't been around much in blogging for the past few days. The husband and I were enjoying driving around town enjoying the nice weather for couple of days. The temperature was above freezing! Imagine staying home the entire 2 months keeping ourselves warm. It was really depressing. We just love to enjoy nice weather and have fun.

For this coming Friday or this weekend, I might get my wish! I would love to try one of the winter activities which is snow skiing. I can't wait any longer! I wish the weather will cooperate with me and let me enjoy snow skiing in a nice weather.

Postcard From Paris!

Bonjour! Comment ale vouz? Last Tuesday, I got a postcard from Paris, France. A very dear friend Rossana from San Francisco, California sent me this lovely postcard. She sent the postcard as soon as she got to Paris to make sure I will received it. That's sweet! She and her husband took a 2-week vacation in Paris, France. She's so sweet to remember me by. Thank you, Ross!

The message:

Hello Hazel!

Greetings from Paris! We're having fun. Saw the Eiffel Tower and tomorrow we'll go to the Louvre to see the Mona Lisa. Take care!

Rossana

Oh how I wish to see the Eiffel Tower someday. I guess I have to save my blogging money to apply for a tourist visa and buy my plane ticket. Paris, France is one of the places I would like to visit.

Snapshot # 2

A photo of an excited girl who simply loves shopping

I woke up early today as we have planned on visiting the state capital of North Dakota - Bismarck. We ended up going to Kirkwood Mall. We had fun walking, window shopping and dining in a Chinese buffet. We are looking for a backpack that we can use when we go travel this coming springtime before I start working in a campground.
