It's My Vacation Party

Now that I'm finally feeling out of work for the winter, I feel that it's time to do some traveling. My husband and I spent our summer time in North Dakota while I'm working from April to October. The months that I am at work, we couldn't really enjoy our summer time as other people did. Business first before pleasure as what other people say. And that's what we did for the whole six months we were there.

Last week, we finally close our doors for the campers and the camping season is over. It is time for us to enjoy ourselves and spend that moment we have been waiting for - the winter vacation. Our summer job up north was really good and it was overwhelming. We met a lot of travelers from all over United States and Canada. We some people from Europe too!

Now that our job is over for the year, it's time for us to party!

Happy Wednesday! I did some work today before celebrating my three-day birthday weekend. Though on the day of my actual birthday, I have to work but that's okay. Tomorrow, I will be celebrating my Golden Birthday.

Hello Monday!

How are y'all today? Another Monday for us again. How did your Monday go? As for me, I went to work at 7AM. I did some cleaning, paying bills, went to post office for all our mails. I went ahead and finished bookkeeping today. Though I'm not done yet but I will get there in time. I have all the time to do all the things that needs to be done. I have a way of sorting what's next in line.

Maybe two more months to go and my six-month job for the summer will be over this year. Yes! I'm screaming at the top of my lungs - I'm excited for my winter vacation! I miss our house in Texas. I'm going to see my friend too. Maybe, after getting things settled when we come home, we might go on a trip. I still don't know where yet but I think, my Hubby got a plan. I need to find out what it is because I am very excited!

Just My Luck

I have been lucky lately. Though, my hands are still tied from my regular summer job, I still get good offers from blogging. Who can passed up an opportunity like this? Not me! I am taking all my time to do my task and do everything under my power to finished every task I have. I will not allow the time to passed by without doing anything. If I have to do it right away, I will do it. 

Things around the campground where I work has been hectic. What can I say? Summer isn't over yet. Campers are still traveling and camping. I wish someday, I can take my time off and off we go to a one-week cruise or a beautiful grand vacation in the paradise. Well, it just sounds so good to me so I will keep on praying. I will update you soon!

Break Time

Alright, I got my break yesterday morning. I was out from the campground five minutes to nine and it feels so good to finally have a little break. I went grocery shopping for our necessities and went to small department stores in town. Our town is small so I guess we can't just have it all here. If I need to go shop for a name brand clothing, I have to go all the way to Fargo and drive 100 miles to go shopping. But that's just not gonna happen anytime soon. 

My break lasted for about two hours and I am back at work again. You see, working six months of the year has its advantages and disadvantages. A job with lot of perks and a little drawback. But, I have no complains. Maybe next time, I can get longer breaks than the usual two hours. 

Sad Face

There's not much to say today. Though we have a good weather for several days now (80's) and I'm loving it. Until this morning when my husband has to leave to take Sierra back to Kentucky to visit her dad. I know he will be back but the thing is, my husband and I has never been apart for quite this long.

Wherever I go, he was there, we're always together. Even if I just gonna get my hair done, he's with me. Going to the post office to drop off some mails, we are together. We have never been apart since we got married. I miss my husband.

Hello Friday!

How are y'all? I haven't been updating this blog lately because my hands are tied at work. I wish I can do more in a day but my body and brain gets tired after a long day at work. It's the Memorial Day weekend and we're hoping that we get busy at work this weekend. I am sure it's gonna be a long weekend for us.

I am enjoying my hobby. I love sending and receiving postcards all over the world. It all started when I first came here in United States. I sent postcards to my friends where ever I am. Now, that hobby is coming back to life and it's my friend's turn to send me postcards.

A Woman's Thing

Alright, leave it all to the women. They're the one who budget everything in a household. They're the one one who maintains the cleanliness inside and outside of the house and most of all, they do the grocery shopping. I spent my half day doing some grocery shopping today. Though the weather is still not cooperating but the good thing is, the snow are slowly melting down. I can see that most of the snow are gone and it won't be long now we can see green grass for the next coming days. So, we can go shopping for new plants and some vegetables to be planted in the garden. Oh spring and summer, where art thou? 

Chow Down

I have been eating a lot today. I felt like I have to munch just to keep the pain away I am feeling. I am feeling so much better now that I'm on my second day of my menstruation. I ate two bowls tangy salad, peanut butter sandwich and pot roast that my husband cooked. Any minute now, I have to munch on my tangy salad I prepared last night. 

Did you ever feel the same way? When you're on PMS that you want to eat and eat? I do. I knew that my "visitor" will come soon. I wish there's a way to stop the pain without relying on pain pills to stop it because I hate taking pills. What if we should kick the men's nuts every month too so they can feel our pain?

I'm Stuffed!

It's another day to thank the Lord for a wonderful day. It was hazy this morning but it didn't stop me from going to church. The priest's sermon was nice and heartwarming. I just wished that there will be more people who will come to God and served Him faithfully. It was good to see some friends at church today. They're happy to see us back in the winter wonderland (it will be spring time soon).

When I came home from church today, I ate pancakes and sausages for brunch then at 5PM, we went to Pizza Ranch for the mini party. I started with the salad with raspberry and vinaigrette dressing. I gobbled up some pizza (pepperoni, tomato & spinach and chicken buffalo) and chicken. The chicken was really good. In fact, it was the best fried chicken in town (according to me). The food was great and so as the people in the party. 

After the party, we went to attend the mission at our church for lent. There were lots of people who attended the mission. It was nice to see new faces and meet them during the introduction. It was nice to hear someone's experiences during the sermon and it was amusing to participate during the ribbon binding. After the mission, we were invited for a punch and muffins. I am so stuffed!

I'm a Couch Potato

Aside from blogging, I watch TV a lot. My husband is the same. We watch anything on TV - news, entertainment, game shows, western shows, science fiction, reality shows, horror, comedy, love and romance movies. If we find it interesting, we will watch it. But somehow, I miss watching Philippine telenovelas, showbiz entertainment, comedy and drama shows. 

Since we didn't subscribe to any Filipino channel, I found a way where I can watch them. It feels so good when you're able to watch the shows. It's not just about watching them, it's about learning, getting updated and feeling the drama about life. Something to look forward to everyday because you don't want to miss any shows. As of the moment, I am enjoying watching Mara Clara, Green Rose, Mutya and Magic Palayok. 

Too Much To Handle

I don't know why I wrote that title for this post. It just came out of nowhere. It wasn't planned nor just an impromptu. I don't want to think that my own fingers has their own mind. That's really creepy to think! I was thinking to finish my packing so not to end up cramming when the time comes we are ready to leave.

I still have to sort things out around the house so it will not be messy when we are gone. I still have to do the laundry, clean the refrigerator, clean the bathrooms - in short, clean the whole house! I still have more time to do all those things. All I have to do is take one domestic work at a time. It's a routine task for a domestic goddess like me.

I have to go and take that one step.

Go MARCHing in

We bid goodbye to February and here comes a new beginning, another month to enjoy - March. Thinking what happened to the month of February. Of course, everybody felt February brought love and joy to their lives. I wonder why time flies so fast. Was it just me or just because the month of February has 28 days to fulfill? What really happened to me in the month of February? Well, I celebrated love and friendship during the whole month. I get to see my long time friends in Florida and we had fun. My dreams came true when I visited Disney World Magic Kingdom and the beaches in Florida is really beautiful!

Now, it's time to face another month. That means to say, paying our bills on time, keeping straight on our budget, maybe a well-planned short trip along the way and getting back to work as early as possible. Oh yeah, I will be coming back to work soon plus my husband's birthday is coming up. How about you guys? How do you keep track your plan in a month? What do you do to sort things out and maintained a balance life?

Alright! It took me a while for me to go back to blogging. I have been really busy the past few weeks. My summer job is over last October 5th and it was good that I am having a little break from working. Sounds good? Yes it it! Because I am taking six (6) months off before I go back to work. A Quick Hello

I know it's been a while since I posted something in this blog. I am not talking about the paid-posts but the interim post I usually have here. When you have a job, you get busy and you have so much in your plate that is too much to handle. I, myself witnessed the same thing to my good friends. Some bloggers abandoned their blogs because they got no time to update their own blogs. I can't even remember when was the last time I did EC dropping. I owe you guys a lot of visit. It takes a lot of time to do the thing but I know for sure I will get there.

It's really getting busy around my workplace. I have a lot of things that I want to accomplish everyday and I am still waiting for the right time to find a lot of time to work on my three blogs. I will be writing new updates and definitely go back to earning money online. But I can do all these things in the winter time where I have all my free time to everything. Six months work and six months vacation, who can beat that?

Me and Work

I have been working as a receptionist since August 2008. I do well in my job but sometimes I complain too. I love it when I give my service to the people and make them happy. But sometimes, I just can't handle grouchy, mean or just plain ornery people. They can really make my day. It will take time to compose myself back and serve other people. But that wasn't too much of a big deal for me. I'm trying to be nice as much as possible and understand other people's behavior. Maybe, they grew up to be just like that (to be rude, mean and grouchy) and some people are just born to be happy and nice.

We cannot please everybody and we always try to accommodate them to the best of our ability. I just feel like, I need a break (sometimes). Wait, did I say break? My husband said, "What are you talking about? You just got off a six months break!" Oh yeah, I forgot about that - our winter vacation in Hawaii for three months and spent the remaining three months winter vacation in Texas-Kentucky-Mississippi-Louisiana. I have to work a while first, then I will get back my six months break. I guess, I have to stop whining then and get back to work!

What's Up?

Few days ago, I mean few weeks ago, I have been complaining about the cold weather here in North Dakota. One day, we had nice and cool (about 60 degrees) weather. Then we had a little rain which is really nice. We had one week of below 50 degrees weather, the wind keeps blowing and it made me feel like winter again. I can't even go out for an hour to enjoy spring. I should be wearing tank tops and shorts by now but I am still on my long sleeves and jeans (and work clothes).

There's a lot to complain about the weather but I should stop complaining. Maybe it's just the way it is up here. Maybe there's a reason for everything when the weather doesn't want to cooperate. The farmers needs the sunshine. They need to plow their fields and start planting crops. We need sunshine!

I'm Back at Work

Yes folks! I am back at work after spending our 3 months vacation in Hawaii and 3 months vacation in Texas. I know I won't be able to visit your blogs once again because I have a very interesting job and I love it. I will do my share (blog hop, E-card drop) when I find time to sit down during my break. I'm Back!

Yay, I am back! Back from our 5-day trip to Kentucky to visit our family and friends. It was a long drive but I enjoyed it. I love long drive even if it is a short trip. I sure do miss blogging and blog hopping. I am hoping that I am totally rested to get back on track. There are some things that I need to do around the house, plus I am looking forward for more short trip for the coming weekends. I just can't wait!
