A Savvy Satellite Internet

When I came here in United States, I never did worry about how to hook-up on a pretty good internet. I always think that America is fast forward and I am sure getting connected is really easy. The case was not the usual I have expected and the first thing I have in mind was my family and friends back home. I need to get in touch with them so that I will not feel any homesickness.

Though my husband lives in a pretty big farm, he never did allow me being sad. He got me a satellite internet together with the TV. How cool is that? He doesn't want me to get bored anytime of the day. I don't want to be bored too. I don't like the idea that I have nothing to fiddle. I must say that even if we live in a rural area, where there's no traffic and big buildings, I get to enjoy fresh air, fresh vegetables grew in the garden, the peace and quiet it has served me well. I don't mind living in the country as long as I have my satellite internet and TV with me.

Blue Car in Hawaii

When we came here in Hawaii two months, and 1 week ago, one of our goals is to get a used car to get by around town. Hawaii has eight beautiful islands and we live in Hilo in the Big Island where my husband really loves to stay for the winter. There are many things to see around the Big Island. For those who are adventurer like us, you will experience wonderful things and get good food all over the island. What I like most about it? When we plan our trip the next day to look for a nice sandy beach where we could go swimming and snorkeling.

Our blue car in Hawaii

We are planning to sell our car here in Hawaii. We will go back to the mainland soon and we don't want to store the car and nobody will take care of it when we are gone. Besides, it may take a long time before we can go back for a vacation here in Hawaii if we have the greens to support our needs. Anyway, for those car owners who are living at Irvine, California, you might want to check body shop irvine for your auto repairs. You can make an appointment online if you need your car to be fixed.

Cleaning My Car

It has been a while since my last update in this blog. After our Hawaiian getaway for 2 weeks, I got sick for 3 days. I kept the colds for a week. I felt lazy and restless for the whole 2 weeks. I have been sleeping like a baby. Today, I am back to work. I am trying to be a career woman and a homemaker at the same time. Until now, I still haven't unpack our luggage and that shows how lazy I am after our vacation. I guess I am still dreaming for another trip.

And to make my day productive, I did clean my car and our refrigerator. While cleaning the car, I noticed that the windshield had tiny black spots and I couldn't get it off. I even washed it several times just to make sure I am doing a good job in cleaning my car. Then I found this website - BuyAutoParts.com, where you can buy reliable car parts for your car if you need one. They offer free shipping on orders above $50. They have wide selection of wholesale prices for all major auto maker parts. Visit their website now and start shopping!

Sports Car Tag

I got a Sporty Tag from Rose's Obstacles and Glories. Her question was, If you can afford to buy a sports car right now, what are you going to get?

My pick? If I can afford to buy a sports car right now, I will get the one that I have been wanting for quite some time now - the Corvette ZR1. It's not that very expensive compare to other luxurious sports car but I just like the design of this car.

The ZR1 was formally announced in a December 2007 press statement by General Motors, where it was revealed that their target of 100 horsepower/liter (1.64 hp/cu in) has been reached by a new "LS9" engine, an Eaton- supercharged 6.2-liter engine producing a confirmed 638 hp (476 kW) and 604 foot-pounds force (819 N·m) of torque with a sticker price of about US $100,000. The engine is the most powerful engine to be put in an American production sports car.

Top speed is 205 mph (330 km/h). Along with an improved motor, the ZR1 also comes with extensive carbon-fiber body parts, including (but not limited to) wider fenders, the hood, roof panel, roof bow, front fascia splitter and rocker moldings. However, the car is heavier and more front weight biased than the Z06 because of the supercharger, with a weight distribution of 52% at the front and 48% at the rear. Tires were also increased in diameter and width, along with bigger and stronger brakes, adjustable suspension, and optional chrome wheels and a premium interior package.

The Phone is Ringing!

Here is the syndrome once again! As you all know that I have worked as a call center agent back at home and the feeling of working near a phone makes it weird for me. I don't know why but it was like an abnormal condition for me. Then, I got a job here as a receptionist which requires to answer phone calls and make arrangements with some businesses too. It was like every time I will hear the phone is ringing, it was like I am oblige to answer it. Even in my dreams, I can hear the phone is ringing and I have to open my eyes and hear it once again that it is not an imagination nor from my dream. When I opened my eyes, the phone is not ringing anymore. Then it is hard for me to go back to sleep again.

Then yesterday, while me and my husband was watching TV, I heard the phone was ringing. I got up from the couch to answer it but as soon as I took my first step, the actress from the TV show say "hello?". My husband asked me, why did I get up? I just told him that I am supposed to answer the phone. But he said the phone was ringing on the TV show not our own phone. We just laughed about the instant phone incident and enjoyed the whole TV show instead.

My Blackberry Phone

Cellular Phone is a kind of mobile radio telephone used in a communications system that has its service area divided into small cells, each having a separate low-power transmitter and receiver combination. Yesterday, I posted something about my personal computer (laptop). Aside from having a personal computer to communicate with my family and friends back home, my husband bought me a cellular phone. Of course, it would not be complete communicating with them without hearing their voices. I have all the time to call and talk.

It was an ecstatic feeling when he got me the Blackberry Pearl model. He knew that when I was still in the Philippines, I have a passion for nice and new phone models. Whatever comes out, I will try to save my own money just to buy a new phone model. Before I came here, my last model phone was an N series (N70) from Nokia. I so love that phone. I can anything about my old phone back home. I can text and call, take pictures and save them. Put music and listen to them. Play games when I am bored. Save my family and friends birthday and remind me about it. Easy access for phone numbers and address. It is like my personal organizer everyday.

Now, it has been a year since I got this Blackberry Pearl phone. This is not a gift from hubby but it is a necessary thing that we should have because we also use communicate to his family and friends all over the big states of America. I find it so useful because I can store phone numbers and addresses of family and friends, there's also Yahoo Messenger where I could chat when I am away from my computer. Unlike Nokia which is user-friendly phone, I am still having the hard time on navigating the Blackberry phone. I know in time, I will get use to it step by step. Happy Birthday to my Blackberry Pearl phone!

My First Laptop

It has been a year now since my husband bought me my new and first laptop. It was a pre-wedding gift to me. He doesn't like for me to get bored. He knew how much it means to me as one of the ways of communicating to my sisters back home. I was really happy because for the first time, I will own a brand new personal computer where I can do my thing over the internet. Communicate with my family back home, upload and save my pictures, chat with good friends, watch a movie and download and listen old and new music. It was like a bizarre feeling owning it for the first time.

We have a desktop computer back home and I share it with my sisters. We used it for documenting school requirements and also for personal use. I was pretty jealous a little bit for some of my rich friends who have their own laptops. It wasn't either my first time to use a laptop and I knew to myself that someday, I will have my own personal computer like this. I am thankful to my husband that he gives me anything I needed just to continue my communication with my family and friends back home. It was indeed a great happiness for me. I can't thank him enough how great I was for having him. Thank you, GOD!

How's My Driving?

Learning how to drive was one of the things I wanted to accomplished in my life. As you all know, I have no idea as what and when to drive as I go to the flow of driving. It all started when my father had a Wangler jeep back in the Philippines but he never did teach me how to drive. You see, I could have known better if he did teach me to drive. It could be one of my skills since not all people in the Philippines know how to drive even if they reached the age of 16. Why? Because there's no car for them to drive. In the Philippines, only those families who can afford to buy a car can drive or at least people who have a car.

Now, that I am here living in the United States, everything seems new to me, especially when it comes to drive a car. People here started driving when they reached the age of 16 or less. The school offers a driving lesson course where students started to learn how to drive when they reached the age of 16. It is a must here! But in the Philippines... We learned how to commute a ride and pay for our fare whenever we go to school, mall or work.

Five months before I came here, I enrolled in a driving school. I learned the basic things about driving and finally, after 24 years, I got my Philippine Driving License. Then 4 months of being here, I got my Kentucky Driving License. It is actually my husband who pushed me through learning how to drive since I will be actually driving alone (I mean, without any supervisions of my husband). It's fun to drive! You could go any places or just about anywhere by driving. And now that I am 25 years old, this is my time to shine in driving because I know, in the near future... I can be better in driving.
