Nobody can stop people from shopping for the Holiday season. Stores are always packed because people are shopping Christmas presents for their family and friends. I still have a long way to go to find the great deals for Christmas. I am hoping that I can find all the things listed on my Christmas wish list.

Last Saturday, we went to Pier 1 store to check out some stuff I needed for our house. I found some few things and was really happy about it. They have candles and fragrance, home accents and decor, dining, furniture and more. Since my husband and I decided to cook for Christmas eve dinner, I want to pick up a nice dinnerware that I can use for the party of four. We invited a couple to join us on Christmas eve dinner. Of course, wine glasses are on the list too! We will be celebrating happiness, God's blessings and love.

For this coming Christmas, I don't have to worry about what to give to our family and friends. I am sure, I can find holiday gifts that they will love. They have great deals and bargains on dining and home accents. I will let my friends know that they can find and buy my Christmas gifts at Pier 1 Imports, at the home accents and decor specifically. Its the gifts that go above and beyond.

During the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register. Baby Talk

Mothers-to-be are all excited for the coming of their baby. Parents-to-be are fixing the nursery rooms for the baby such as the cribs, bassinet and baby things. Everything should be ready and organized for the newborn's arrival. One thing that parents shouldn't forget is the baby changing table. It will be easy for the mother to change baby's diaper because it's comfortable and easy.

Brazo de Mercedes

Two nights ago, I attempted to bake my favorite rolled cake, Brazo de Mercedes. It's been years that I haven't eaten this kind of rolled cake or sometimes referred to as jelly roll. Like what I said in my previous post, I am going to enjoy baking and bake my favorites.

I gather all the ingredients and visited the website, Panlasang Pinoy and copied how to make the rolled cake. I thought that making Brazo de Mercedes is not easy to create but when I watched the video, I fully understand everything. It wasn't that hard at all. As you can see from the photo I posted, I made a mistake rolling the cake. But it tastes really good as my husband and I ate it all the next day.

Hello December!

It's the second day of the month of December, the most wonderful time of the year! I wonder what great things I have done for the year 2010. I am sure there's a lot of them. I made lots of friends this year and it is so nice to let them know how I value the word called friendship. I met new people where I work and I thank the Lord for all the wonderful blessings he had given me. Thank you, Lord! You are always the best!
