It is Coming!

Today is the last day of the year, few hours from now, we will be celebrating the coming of the year 2011. The year of 2010 has brought us so many things. We welcomed every blessings, every gifts, every trials, problems and happiness. It made us a better person each day as we leave the year of 2010 behind and welcome the new year 2011. Let's celebrate and forget the people who have caused us pain, who hurt us. Let's forgive them and let's bring joy and happiness to our new year. Another year for us to correct our own mistakes and enjoy all the blessings from God that will come our way. I am wishing all of you, a very happy new year!

How Should You Spend New Year's Eve?

You Should Go on a Trip

You feel like doing New Year's Eve up a little differently this year.
And why not celebrate in a brand new city?

You're itching for a little adventure,
and you'll find it if you watch the ball drop in Times Square.

NYC not your thing?
Consider celebrating in Las Vegas, Paris, or even Disney World.

Your New Year's resolution should be to travel the world more,
and you might as well get an early start on it.

Save Money with Total Protect Home Warranty

This is a sponsored guest post written by Total Protect Home Warranty on behalf of Total Protect Home Warranty. Post powered by Sponzai.

In challenging economic times, consumers are faced with unexpected homeowner’s expenses. These expenses may range from $100 to an excess of $4500. Homeowners may not be financially prepared to handle unexpected expenses when financial purse strings are tightened by the economy. Total Protect Home Warranty provides a solution for homeowners that need to plan for unexpected repairs with predictable costs. Each month, homeowners pay a predictable $50 to $75 per month. Each time a repair occurs, a deductible of $75 is assessed. This helps homeowners prepare for the worst.

An unexpected expense of $75 is easier to prepare for than an unexpected $4500 bill. Most homeowners can handle an occasional, unexpected $75 expense rather than a costly repair bill. This saves the homeowner time and money. If the furnace, air condition or the oven breaks, most homeowners want the appliance repaired immediately. Urgency increases, if the item breaks when it is most needed, like during the warmest summer months, the coldest winter days or while hosting Thanksgiving dinner. Fortunately Total Protect Home Warranty offers prompt service repair 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.

Homeowners tend to spend more money on repairs when they need an item. A repairman is secured without thorough research in most instances, just to alleviate the problem. Homeowners without the funds may try to put the repair off and suffer through the problem. However, this often leads to health problems and other problems in the household. Home values also decrease when repairs are delayed. Delaying repair is simply not a good practice. Total Protect Home Warranty ensures that homeowners will always be able to afford repairs by a professional that is pre-qualified by Total Protect Home Warranty. Search time and stress is removed from the process of finding a repairman during an inopportune moment.

My Carrot Cake

Since it's the Holiday season, there's a lot of baked goods around. When I came here in the United States, I learned how to bake out from the box or from scratch. I just follow the procedures. I think I'm good at it. So three nights ago, I baked a carrot cake.

It was good. My husband and I are getting there to finish it all. I just wish that my mom and sisters can taste what I am baking this Christmas. I miss them so much. I wonder what to bake next.

Season Cheers!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pier 1 Imports. All opinions are 100% mine.

Nobody can stop people from shopping for the Holiday season. Stores are always packed because people are shopping Christmas presents for their family and friends. The Holiday spirit just keep coming and everyone's overwhelmed for the joy it brings. I am not done with my Christmas shopping yet. I still have a long way to go to find the great deals for Christmas. I am hoping that I can find all the things listed on my Christmas wish list.

Last Saturday, we went to Pier 1 store to check out some stuff I needed for our house. I found some few things and was really happy about it. They have candles and fragrance, home accents and decor, dining, furniture and more. Since my husband and I decided to cook for Christmas eve dinner, I want to pick up a nice dinnerware that I can use for the party of four. We invited a couple to join us on Christmas eve dinner. Of course, wine glasses are on the list too! We will be celebrating happiness, God's blessings and love.

For this coming Christmas, I don't have to worry about what to give to our family and friends. I am sure, I can find holiday gifts that they will love. They have great deals and bargains on dining and home accents. I will let my friends know that they can find and buy my Christmas gifts at Pier 1 Imports, at the home accents and decor specifically. Its the gifts that go above and beyond.

During the months of November and December, you can support Toys for Tots by dropping off an unwrapped toy and/or making a cash donation at the register. Let's also mind other people during this Holiday season, let's continue to spread holiday cheer by liking Pier 1 Imports on Facebook. For every new fan they get, they will donate $1 to Toys for Tots.

Baby Talk

Mothers-to-be are all excited for the coming of their baby. Parents-to-be are fixing the nursery rooms for the baby such as the cribs, bassinet and baby things. Everything should be ready and organized for the newborn's arrival. One thing that parents shouldn't forget is the baby changing table. It will be easy for the mother to change baby's diaper because it's comfortable and easy.

Brazo de Mercedes

Two nights ago, I attempted to bake my favorite rolled cake, Brazo de Mercedes. It's been years that I haven't eaten this kind of rolled cake or sometimes referred to as jelly roll. Like what I said in my previous post, I am going to enjoy baking and bake my favorites.

I gather all the ingredients and visited the website, Panlasang Pinoy and copied how to make the rolled cake. I thought that making Brazo de Mercedes is not easy to create but when I watched the video, I fully understand everything. It wasn't that hard at all. As you can see from the photo I posted, I made a mistake rolling the cake. But it tastes really good as my husband and I ate it all the next day.

Bigger and Better!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of LG. All opinions are 100% mine.

You have seen the commercial and it is really talking big and better! The next new generation of Windows Phone 7 devices. We all know that there's a lot of great phones out in the market today. You'll just have to know which one is the best for you. I even thought that my friends got the best phones or I think I got the best and better until LG Electronics launched its first Windows Phone 7 device, the LG Optimus 7. Windows Phone 7 is a big bet for Microsoft building new operating system that offers people the ability to do more in fewer steps. I think it will be a big bet for the industry. I can foresee now that people will switched their old phones to a better one just like LG Optimus 7, a phone that will provide a great experience to a lot of users.

So what are the key features of the new LG Optimus 7 series? First, it offers the glance and go experience of Windows Phone 7 combined with unique features only available on the LG devices. Second, the users will be able to display videos and photos captured on their LG Optimus 7 on a TV or enjoy music on their phones through their favorite speakers without wire. How fun is that for all music lovers? This phone has a lot to offer. Indeed, Life's Good!

Check out this cute, mixed once upon a time fairy tale.
