Amazing Domestic Seafood Recipe

I have been a great fan of seafood all my life because I grew up in an island in the South Pacific. My favorites are shrimp, crabs and fish. Eating seafood was like amazing as I get healthy benefits from it. Seafood is a source of protein in many diets around the world. I can just mixed seafood when I cook pasta or simply make a seafood appetizer which is a mouth-watering idea when somebody is on a diet. Last New Year's eve, I have created a simple recipe for my seafood theme. It is made mainly of shrimp, pineapple chunks and broccoli. I call it as Shrimpylicious Seafood. I don't have any idea at all what I am doing and came up with that recipe name. I don't know also if that's included in a recipe cookbook but doing the recipe was sure a lot of fun and easy. For the procedure of my Shrimpylicious Seafood, I boiled the medium size shrimps for 5 minutes or until the shrimp is cook and broccoli florets for an easy bite for about 2 minutes. Drain the juice of pineapple chunks and mix it all together with the shrimp and broccoli. Add a pinch of salt and pepper or to your desired taste then simply add mayonnaise salad dressing.

For the coming Great American Seafood Cook off event, I would like to make a very easy wonderful Filipino dish called "kinilaw" meaning to “cook” in vinegar. It’s not really cooking since there is no heat involved. But soaking fish or some other seafood in a strong vinegar solution turns the meat opaque and gives it a texture of having been cooked. There are variety of fish that can be use in making "kinilaw" such as tuna, cavalla, sea bass and grouper. The dish is just easy to make since there's no heating involved. Just season the cubed fish with salt and pepper then soak it with strong white vinegar (or you can use sugar cane vinegar) and let it stand for about 15-30 minutes. Add some of onions, ginger, bell peppers and coconut milk to perk up your dish and crushed chillies for maximum potency. You can add some limes for extra mouth-watering flavor and extra twist of the dish.

My Mother's Birthday!

Today, July 31 is my mother's birthday. She's going to celebrate her 50th birthday without me... again! Well let me think, I guess this will be the 3rd time that I am not going to celebrate her special day since 2006. I have been away from her since I graduated from college and be with my own. Although our communication are still there. I get to talk to her over the phone, leave or send her text messages and I even see her on webcam when me and younger sister are chatting.

Mama, now that it's your birthday, I wish you all the happiness in life. I pray to God that He will give you more good health and strong will so we can still enjoy being together someday when we will see each other. I maybe away from you on the other side of the world but I always think of you everyday. I always pray for your health and good life. I miss you badly and you take care of yourself always. God bless you always, mom!

Being Discreet

I think it has been months now since I started being invisible in my Yahoo Messenger account. Well, I have been always invisible when my mood says so. Its just that, I wanted to keep up with all my chat mates - my friends back home, my friends online and some nuisance chatters one at a time, not having many windows to chat with. I sometimes joined conference when all my friends are online and there's juicy topic to talk about. I am just glad how the technology makes it so easy to communicate with each other. It was like we are facing each other face-to-face and having a simple coffee break from the coffee shop. How lovely to think that after all our busy day from work and activities, we still manage to talk about anything - life, love, work, movies, music, food, clothes and everything that is interesting to talk about. Life is just amazing!

Save Lives, Women Power!

In everyday lives of being a woman, we can't tell when and how a disease will struck us. We don't know what are the possibilities. Sometimes we may not know what are the symptoms and its effect. Many research study shows that being healthy, living well, eating the right diet are the effective way to fight such illnesses that could damage our personal life. But somehow, no matter how healthy and exercises you will have in a day, you will never know when it will hit you. Having said that, the C'elle exclusive and revolutionary stem cell technology empowers women to safely and easily collect non-controversial, potentially life-saving stem cells found in menstrual blood. Who would think that our menstrual blood is not a waste at all? Instead, it is being developed to formulate a breakthrough for future therapeutic medicine to possibly treat any kind of diseases. My mother is actually suffering from her diabetes and hypertension. All her medicines for maintenance are very expensive and will cost her a fortune. She have tried herbal products to treat or at least prevent it but still it will always be there in her system.

C_elle_kit_image

C'elle menstrual stem cells have demonstrated the ability to differentiate into other cell types such as heart muscle, cartilage, nerve and bone stem cells. This translates into the potential for future therapeutic developments to possibly treat major diseases like diabetes, heart disease, stroke, MS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's; as well as possible cosmeceutical applications like anti-aging and wound-healing. Very interesting, right? It is all About the Science that make our lives easier to think, our daily activities, the breakthrough in the world of medicine. There are genuine and intelligent people who are willing to give and dedicate their service for the welfare of everyone. Menstrual stem cells are a 100% match for the woman donor and may possibly match her first degree relatives. It will be passed on to help someone in the family who may be suffering from the mentioned diseases. Be active and participate in the limited-time "Caring is Sharing" promotion. Who knows, we will never know by our active participation, we can change lives. Spread the news, click on C'elle Client Testimonial and let others voice be heard! Let's start saving lives!

A Quick Sunday Date

The morning weather here in North Dakota was nice. I woke up at past 7 AM and prepare myself for our church date. As I was dressing up, my husband gave me a lovely good morning kiss. He's preparing for our church date too. It is a new town for us again, new environment and a new state law to follow. The people are very nice. Some people will just wave at you and smile. I guess, I am going to like our new neighborhood. The mass started at 8:30 AM and we got there 5 minutes before it will start. The church was under construction, it is a big and very nice church. There's a combination of French and Italian architecture. Everything is just so amazing! I felt like I'm at home being in that church. I found my comfort singing and giving my response.

After attending the mass, we grabbed a good breakfast from McDonalds. Of course, I will never ever missed ordering my favorite breakfast food - the Sausage Burritos. It satisfies my hungry belly all the time. We visited the National Buffalo Museum in town and took some pictures. We pretty had much fun for our quick Sunday date.

Work It Out, Boots!

My husband worked in a coal mine before. He also build some houses and storage buildings. He needed a good pair of work boots to keep his feet dry, protected and comfortable which makes all the difference at the end of the day. When your feet is comfortable, then the rest of your body is more comfortable also. Because if you have a bad pair of work boots, it will hurt and affect all your body. My husband always says, "If my feet is unhappy, then the rest of my body is unhappy also." Protecting our feet is one of the best thing we always make sure for good health and for having a happy feet.

Are you looking for a good pair of work boots? What's your work boots style? Many people from America work hard and they need a reliable and durable pair of work boots that they can use to protect their feet. Work Boots USA sells the finest and good quality pair of work boots for men and women. They also offer top of the line brands for work boots such as Converse, Caterpillar, Danner, Wolverine, Corcoran, Belleville, Matterhorn, Bates, Rocky, Magnum and Timberland. You can either shop by brands or style. You choose! Visit their online store now and start making your feet happy.

Change is Permanent!

As you all noticed, I have change my blog site from a 2-column to a 3-column template but the layout or the theme is still the same. I was very anxious to widely expand my links for a better view and easy-access on all the links I have in my site. I did try to change my template into a parchment, balloon and some glittered special effects but nothing caught my fancy as all my posted links and some page elements was deleted. I was trying to redo everything but I can change it somehow as I don't have that much knowledge using other templates.

I am making this blog to let you know and for all the fellow bloggers I have saved here that I APOLOGIZE for making a mistake. I didn't know that everything will be deleted as I have changed my template or layout into a 3-column page. Please buzz me if you happen to be here and have visited my blog site. I will update all my links here. I will be thankful to add and save your links again and let's just enjoy blogging. Thank you very much!

Money in the Pig!

For_advertiser_profile

Fat pig is worth more than a skinny pig. When I was a kid, someone told me when the pig is fat, it will bring more money. How is that? Basically, a fat pig is just full of fats, cholesterol and oily meat! I was so curious before how's that deal all about. I have so many questions that I have to ask my mother about the statement that was once told to me. How could a fat pig will bring more money? Then my mother explained to me about saving, budget and being thrifty. Asking me what will I do if I am drowning from Credit card debt? Some people are getting crazy in overspending, they splurge too much in shopping, fine dining for a good food and vacation travels. Then one day, you might end up asking for a Debt help. In our everyday life, what matters most is our basic needs, not the wants. Overspending on something that is not important is a big no, no for my mother. A penny a day makes life worth it. It will keep you away from financial stress, Debt relief and you don't have to file for Bankruptcy in the future. She's the one who guides and molds my mind how to to deal with financial matters, budgeting and saving. Every time we go to the grocery store, everything we will buy were on the list, other than that it is too way to meet budgeted expenses. So basically, I have learned dealing with financial matters to my mother who is so tight on budgeting and saving. Now that I am married, I helped my husband to keep track about our expenses, our daily, weekly and monthly budget and our personal savings. We always save for something every month.

I took the quiz at Bills IQ and I got a stunning 90% B. I took the quiz starting from the section of credit, debt, budget, wealth and life plan. It is so great to finally have my check-up regarding financial matters. Honestly, I enjoyed keeping track of our expenses, budgets and savings. I felt like I became a super secretary aside from being a good wife. Keeping a record of our own will not hurt any expenses, budgets and savings that we have because we know when to spend and when to save. You might want to consider Credit counseling so you will get expert tips to improve your financial stability. The most important factor in a credit score is the payment history meaning paying the bills on time. It will also help us someday for future financial plan, emergency cases and extra-curricular activities such as vacation travels. The Bills IQ gave me a financial health check-up in progress of on how I keep fit about my financial plan and improve my financial stability. Likewise, BillsIQ helps you regarding Debt consolidation program or a Consolidate debt plan to put all your bills together and make it as one for easy payments, there are special offers to improve your financial status. I would definitely recommend Bills IQ for everyone for better future of handling financial problems.

My Sincere Apology

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

This blog is to let everyone know that I DON'T want to CAUSE any TROUBLE nor step on anyone's creation. I am here just to personally blog and share my thoughts, write what I have in mind and share it to all my readers and friends. Few days ago, Rowena passed a letter to me about the Someone Special Online. It was hard for me to edit the online letter so to my disappointment, I didn't do the tag. But few days later, I have all the time to do it and so I edited it and paste it here in my blog. I didn't know that I am not allowed to change the link "HERE" and her name "WHENG". I wasn't so sure enough about it because I have had few knowledge about tag post creations and when do I re-edit a certain part of the tag. So, I went to change the things in the tag. It wasn't really my intention if I knew I don't have to change it everything in that online letter.

Again, to ROWENA, I sincerely apologize if I caused you trouble about changing anything in your tag creation. It won't happen again next time. Let's just enjoy blogging and keep sending nice tags or online letters. Thank You!

War Games: Now Showing!

I have been watching a lot of movies back when I was in high school. My father loves to watch movies as we all gathered in the living room to play the movie tape and watch it together. I have been a movie fanatic back then and until now. The movies in the 80's cannot be forgotten as I myself have some favorites. I love to watch comedy, horror and fantasy movies like the Ghostbusters! A true classic and another 80's example of the perfect blend with so much special effects. I just love everything in it and I can watch over and over. I still know their theme song and catch phrase "Who ya gonna call?" as it was so popular when the movie was shown in theaters.

Temp-image_1_1

Today, marks the 25th anniversary event of WarGames. The movie returns on the big screen after 25 years for all the nostalgic adults and kids in this generation. The WarGames: The Dead Code will be played in select theaters nationwide on Thursday, July 24th at 7:30 PM. The showing will be shown only for one night and will include never-before-seen interviews with film creators, crew and the cast, including Matthew Broderick and Ally Sheedy, on how the movie was ahead of its time and its relevance today. So, get your shoes and rush to the nearest theaters now and don't miss the chance to get a sneak peek at the making of the sequel - War Games: The Dead Code.

Sneaky Credit Killers

The most obvious way to blow your credit score is to make a late payment. Even if your credit score is solid, a single missed payment could cost you as much as 100 points, say many financial advisers. According to the Fair Isaac, the company that calculates your FICO score, payment history accounts for 35 percent of your total score. And that credit score will help determine what kind of rates you can score when applying for home or car loans. So first things first: Figure out your credit score.

Your FICO score, a number between 300 and 850, is based on five criteria:
  • payment history
  • amounts owed
  • length of credit history
  • new credit
  • types of credit used
You can find out yours at myfico.com. According to Experian National Score Index, one of the major credit bureau companies, the average credit score in America is currently 692. Those with scores well above 700 will qualify for the best interest rates out there.

But even if you pay your bills on time religiously, your credit score may be endangered. Here are ways charge card sins could cost you some precious credit score points.

1. Not asking for what you want
Don’t accept everything your credit card company offers as written in stone. If you don’t want that credit line increase, ask them to reduce it back to your old one. Had one late payment? If your record is squeaky clean, ask them nicely to remove the blemish from your credit history (which, remember, could cost you up to 100 points on your credit score). They could say no, but they could very well say yes because they value you as a customer. Ask anyway. Your credit score will thank you.

2. Accepting credit line increases
Being the responsible, on-time bill-payer that you are, your credit card company rewards you by upping your credit line. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but remember how much you can afford to reasonably charge. Resist the urge to spend more or risk being unable to meet your new minimum payments.

3. Consolidating your accounts
So you’re considering transferring all your credit card balances to one card so you’re only dealing with one bill every month. It sounds sensible, right? A big no-no, according to the keepers of the credit score. Think of it this way: One big balance looks a whole lot worse than multiple low balances. Appearances are everything.

Adoptive Parents Network

I have been a fan of the TV series Sex and the City. It is a story about four female friends living in New York City. I personally liked the character of Charlotte York who have been the most conservative and positive of the group, the one who places the most emphasis on emotional love as opposed to lust, and is a true romantic; always searching for her "knight in shining armor." When she got married, she really wanted to have a child of her own. She has been anxious to get conceptions just to have a child. She wanted to be a mother but the feeling of waiting and having frustrations made her think to adopt a child on her second marriage. I felt sorry for her in that matter and that I was deeply touched on how she wanted to have a child to take care of and raised with a good future.

Alzheimer's Memory Walk - Let's Get Involved!

I was still having my class during my college days when my teacher told a story about a rich father who suffered from Alzheimer's Disease. I was deeply touched. The father from the story suffered a lot of pain and confusion. His family doesn't even know what to do as they have no idea what's going on with him. He couldn't even recognized who are the people around him and their business went down due to unrecognizable transactions. I was carefully listening to the story because I myself doesn't know anything about it before until I have had several research about it.

Alzheimer's is the most common type of dementia. It is a degenerative and terminal disease for which there is no known cure. In its most common form, it afflicts individuals over 65 years old, although a less prevalent early-onset form also exists. It is estimated that 26.6 million people worldwide were afflicted by the disease in 2006, which could quadruple by 2050, although estimates vary greatly. Generally, the symptoms are reported to a physician when memory loss becomes apparent. As the disease advances, progressive symptoms include confusion, anger, mood swings, language breakdown, long-term memory loss, and the general withdrawal of the sufferer as his or her senses decline. Gradually, minor and major bodily functions are lost, leading ultimately to death.

I may not be able to share all about the Alzheimer's Disease because I myself had a little bit of knowledge but we should be aware and act now. Stop apathy! Let's make a difference. By teaming up with the Alzheimer's Memory Walk, you can walk with a purpose – and move us closer to a world without Alzheimer's. Together, we can move a nation! It is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. A typical Memory Walk is a 2-3 mile walk held on a weekend morning in the fall. Let's support and do our thing to make a difference!

It's a Baby Thing!

It was 10 days ago when I got a baby shower invitation in our mailbox from a good friend. I just met her a month ago from the picnic party where both of us were invited. She was the one who made it comfortable for me since I am only new meeting other people in that picnic party. We exchanged phone calls since then. She even invited me and my husband for a cool halo-halo break in her place as the summer’s getting hotter. She’s pregnant to a baby boy and she’ll having a baby shower today. It was such an honor to be invited and be a part of a baby shower as I never experienced any kind of this event in my life - it’s true! This will be my first baby shower - but sad to say, I can't attend the special event.

I had fun shopping baby clothes. I even bought some baby clothes for a special friend in Bakersfield, California. I will just send the gift to her address, it might be late for her baby shower but at least it's the thought that counts. It was 2 days before the baby shower party when we have to moved to our new place. We really have to go. We got the contract the day before we will move and for sure, there are a lot of things to consider in moving. We have to secure everything - the utilities, our things and the place should be neat and clean so we could arrange and fix all our stuffs. We need to keep going and moving, prepare our new nest to its wonderful dwelling place.

Air Freshener Sample

Recently, I posted a blog about how to transform a house into a sweet-smelling dwelling place. I was lucky enough to get a quick approval from them the next day. I can't really tell how much it means to me to be approved from the blogs I have posted here. Sure, it was a lot of joy, screaming for happiness and even shared it to my husband the exciting feeling I have. I can feel the pride and joy within me writing and sharing my own thoughts and earning in my own little way. It's not bad at all, just sit and relax, let your imaginations crawl and do something. I guess, I was just inspired!

Just few days ago, my husband went to the mailbox to get our mails. He gave me the small box that contains the free sample I got from blogging. It was the Renuzit scented oil air freshener. It freshens the air at home and eliminates bad odor inside. It was great! Aside from being free, it made our house a sweet-smelling place for me and my husband. Our house looks great and smells good!

3 Facts about me:

  • beautiful
  • sexy
  • lovable

3 Things that scares me:

  • snakes
  • driving fast
  • spiders

3 Songs playing in my mind:

  • I Finally Found Someone
  • The Gift
  • If Ever You're In My Arms Again

3 Valuable things in my life:

  • my first personal computer
  • my first digital camera
  • my novel books

3 First times in my life recently:

  • write and share my thoughts
  • to have a business and property
  • to drink Dr. Pepper and Root beer

3 Words or things I always say or use:

  • my own personal computer
  • I love you!
I did my part Fel. I had fun asking my husband and it was like he knows anything about me. That's good to know though. Now, I am passing this tag to all my friends here in BlogSpot. Enjoy and have fun blogging!

TriScents Transform Your Home from Renuzit

Ts_version_2

How do you transform your house into a fabulous place? Clean and decorate? Major renovation? Or simply add extra tender loving care with everything in it? Our home should look good and smell great! Worry no more! Simply transform your home with Renuzit TriScents. Not few days ago, I got my free Renuzit TriScents Transform Your Home kit. I have read everything that's included in the package and even visited their website. I got a lot of free tips from Tanya Memme - the host of the A&E Sell This House, an Emmy-nominated hit show. Transforming tips from color, textures, scent and accessories on how to make the house look fabulous and wonderful for our own enjoyment. The package includes some free coupons where you can enjoy good discounts when you buy the air fresheners.

I got the time to try and feel the magnificent effect of the Renuzit TriScents - Morning Meadow collection to our home. It comes and it is available in two collections, the Morning Meadow and Seaside Breezes. My husband even liked it compared to other scented oil air freshener because it enhanced our living room so inviting for other people. He said, it really helped the house from making it free from bad odor and since we are selling our house, many prospective buyers will come and look to our newly transformed house and for sure they will stay forever because of the sweet-smelling scent that Renuzit TriScents have provided. Our Realtor was enjoying the new transformation we did to our house. The moment she entered the door into our living room, she already smelled the effect of the new scented oil air freshener we got. I even bought Renuzit Home Fragrance Spray - Caribbean Cooler to spray it all over the house. I love it!

Summer Skin Care Must-Haves

Ah, summer is finally in full swing. And just as you've swapped boots for sandals and sweaters for t-shirts, it's time to reconsider your daily skin-care regimen.

During winter, for example, we all need to focus on protecting skin against the harsh weather and heating systems that can strip it of vital nutrients. Summer, though, is all about mitigating the incidental UV exposure that even the most sun-conscious of us are no doubt getting. But the perfect summer products don't need to cost a fortune:

Cleanser: To cleanse without stripping skin of vital nutrients, I love Dove Pro-Age Foaming Facial Cleanser (around $6). It's affordable and easy to find, and has quickly become my year-round go-to cleanser.

Daytime Moisturizer: I can't decide on my favorite for this one, so here are two options: Nivea Visage Q10 Advanced Wrinkle Reducer Lotion SPF 15 (around $12) or Eucerin Q10 Anti-Wrinkle Sensitive Skin Lotion SPF 15 (around $11). Both products fight a dual battle against UV damage: They protect your skin against the sun with SPF 15, but they also contain one of the most powerful antioxidants around, coenzyme Q10, to mitigate any sun damage you have incurred.

Remember, UV light is one of the main generators of free radicals, renegade molecules that attack vital skin components like collagen and elastin as they look for the electron they're missing. Antioxidants can soothe those free radicals and minimize skin aging in the process.

Night time Moisturizer: Even minimal cumulative sun exposure eventually leads to lines and wrinkles, though. But luckily for all of us, there's one ingredient that's been proven not only to prevent new lines from forming but also to minimize existing ones: retinol. You'll find just that in Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream (around $14). Always use your retinol product at night, though, as it's inactivated by sun.

Body: Don't forget the rest of your body while you're taking care of your face! Aveeno Active Naturals Daily Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15 (around $11) is a good, non-greasy body lotion, plus it contains the everyday sun protection you need - because even the walk to and from your car in the morning adds up!

Wishing you a great skin!

The Ultimate Paintball

Paintball is a sport which anyone can enjoy. The players eliminate opponents from play by hitting them with paint filled, breakable, gelatin paintballs that is usually shot from a carbon dioxide or compressed air powered paintball gun marker. I am not ignorant about this kind of game. I personally saw this back at home in one of the theme parks and a very interesting hobby. I even saw this kind of sport, paintball in one of the movies I watched - Failure to Launch. Where Sarah Jessica Parker won the entire play. I felt like I was one of the players trying to hide myself just to avoid being hit from the paintballs and finding my opponents to be eliminated to win the game.

BT Paintball gear offers a lot of game equipments online. They sell a full line of Tippmann, Spyder, Smart Parts, Dye, Empire, Draxxus paintball gear plus many more brands which you can find on the website. This would be the best and interesting hobby for me and my husband who usually look for something new and great to experience. I will definitely refer paintball game to my friends and lead them to the website who are looking for some fun and another way to entertain themselves. There are many featured products with just one click and you will get anything that you want. Their top selling guns are Tippmann A-5, Tippmann 98 Custom, Smart Parts Ion, Spyder Pilot ACS. They got everything you need to get in the game! They have been in the paintball business for over 5 years and offers the best prices with a free shipping. So, what are you waiting for? Find your own paintball gear now!

Happy Feet

How do you pamper your feet? Do you have any rituals to make your feet smooth, soft and free from calluses? I do! I have been always obsessed about my feet. I always wanted to have it pedicured and made sure that I get foot spa at least once or twice a month. It was like a routine for me every month. I love to see the color of the nail polish in my cute toenails. Sometimes, I just want it clear and clean. I always knew that my toes needs the job of pedicure when I feel they are itchy and dry. It has been like that since then. I wanted to simply see it neat and clean.

Sun Kissed!

After our 2 weeks summer vacation my skin turned into a great tan. When I was a kid, my playmates, classmates and friends called me "negra", black little girl and charcoal. I always liked to play under the sun and never wanted to take our afternoon nap. I used to sneaked out from my mother whose always been telling us to take our good nap but I was like a bee who wanted to buzz around, play and fly like a free bird. I always envied how other kids during my childhood days have a fairer skin with smooth and nice skin.

I was sitting in the couch inside our camper when my loving husband took a picture of me. I gave him a smile after that. I got a little bit of fair skin last winter time because I always wore nice long sleeves to protect me from the cold weather. We seldom go out of the house and just relax and watch a good movie instead. Now, I noticed my skin color has changed and got a great tan because of the hot summer.

My 100th Post

I started blogging since the first day of May 2008. I thought blogging is something that would make me bored, restless and feel jaded. But I was wrong! The moment I have submitted my 1st post until to my 100th post, I didn't know that I was enjoying that much! I felt this is my own personal diary. I found my comfort zone blogging here.

When I was a kid, I don’t think I have any passion for writing. All I did was play and just be a happy little kid. Everything seems ordinary for me. I go to school, learn how to write and read, make friends and aim for good grades. That’s it! Nothing special. I felt like I don’t have any special talents or skills at all, except that I do a little bit well in school. As I grew older, everything seems normal to me. I know I should be the one discovering my own self, my own talents and skills. But it seems like I was engaged to another activity - play! I was really good at it. Until now, I can still beat my playmates to any games we played.

Now, everything seems different. My eagerness for writing something made me delighted. It’s like I am ready to share anything to the world - my happiness, interest, hobbies, dreams, fun trips and travel. This is my world and I am sharing everything here.
