Meal Of The Day

For today's meal, I cooked the pork chop with beef consomme soup. I love this recipe because of the taste and it just easy to do. I put some mushrooms and sweet onions. My husband loves this recipe too. Yummy!

Kauai - The Garden Isle

Kauai is called The Garden Isle. There's a beauty that can be found in Kauai. The northernmost island in the Hawaiian chain is entwined with sharp mountain spires, lush valleys and jagged cliffs, all draped in a canopy of emerald. Kauai appeals to a wide audience because of its dramatic beauty, abundance of activities and laid back atmosphere.

Three Dozen Tulips

My three dozen tulips bloomed already. I have been waiting for them to bloom completely for 3 weeks and I am very excited to see them all blooming. We have a late spring here in North Dakota. When we visited North Carolina last year (April 2008), the tulips are blooming early.

I am just glad to see them blooming while the sun shines upon them. I took a picture of them as soon as they started to bloom one by one.

But today, since the sun didn't come out, they are all asleep. The sun makes the tulips bloom. I wish the sun will shine tomorrow.

Smells Fishy!

I lost my appetite for today's dinner. I prepared Sinigang na Tilapia sa Bayabas (suppose to be Bangus or Milkfish) for dinner and my husband didn't like it. I bought Mama Sita's Sinigang sa Bayabas (Guava Soup Base Mix) to try but I don't have any milkfish for my sinigang so I used tilapia instead. It turned out not satisfying for our stomach.

My husband said it taste fishy smell. He didn't like what I prepared for our dinner and so I lost my appetite. I didn't eat nor finish my meal. I told him that I lost my appetite and I can't eat what I prepared and so the husband throw it all and I will never cook another fish soup like this. My husband didn't grow up eating fish so he will not eat fish unless it is fried.

Must Love Pets

Our pets can bring joy to our lives. They can be silly, funny and sometimes annoying but still pets can be adorable and lovable. Back home, I got dogs and they are just lovely. When I moved here in the United States, I had a red bloodhound and a chocolate Labrador. My husband had two miniature dachshunds and they are all adorable! Our neighbors loved them too.

When traveling abroad, I make sure that I take home any cultural home decor to accentuate the living room. Appreciating art is an important part of the cultural aspect of one's life. I believe that every country has a rich and historical heritage that exudes beauty through various forms of art, which often seen as mysterious or magical. Just like the Indian Home Decor that offers a lot of handcrafted art.

Additional Information:

Hawaiian Breeze

Winn along Waikiki Beach

It has been a month since we got back from Hawaii but still, I am missing the sea breeze around Waikiki area. My husband and I have been talking about Hawaii - our favorite island, the food, the places and things to do in Hawaii.

Lovers in Waikiki Beach

We spent 4 days and 3 nights in Oahu, 4 days and 3 nights in Hawaii's Big Island, 4 days and 3 nights in Kauai - The Garden Isle and back to Oahu again for 6 days and 5 nights. We had so much fun!
