Halloween 2010

zwani.com myspace graphic comments

Are you ready for the Halloween? Almost! I ordered my Halloween costume online and I got it three (3) days ago. It's going to be a fun Halloween (I guess!) because my husband will be wearing his costume. I wish that my friend will join us but she's going to work. My hubby told me to buy lots of candies so we have something to give for the Trick or Treat. I don't know how many kids in the neighborhood will be knocking at the door but for sure, there's something for them when they come.

I still have one thing to get to complete my Halloween outfit. This will be my second Halloween experience (wearing a costume) in my entire life. The first Halloween experience? I was in Hawaii. And I think, it's a wonderful experience to do it just for fun. I am sure that some of my friends are already planning on what to wear. I guess, I will be waiting for their photos to be posted in their Facebook.

Beautiful Log House

When my husband and I got married, we stayed at this beautiful Mountain Village surrounded by log houses. It was just beautiful! It was carefully planned and beautifully built. I love the idea of owning a beautiful log house and decorate the whole house!

Trent Jordan’s Vancouver Car Free Day

This is a sponsored guest post written by Trent Jordan Vancouver on behalf of Trent Jordan Vancouver. Post powered by Sponzai.

Trent Jordan’s Vancouver aims to be the greenest city in the world by 2020. As part of that initiative they have a Car-free Day Festival in the summer at several locations. Since 2005, the Commercial Drive Festival volunteers have organized and presented what is basically an enormous street party. Growing every year, people are ready to experience Vancouver without cars. The first annual Car-Free Vancouver Day was in 2008 and will continue every year.

Considered an evolution towards healthy communities, different neighbourhoods present different festivals on that day and each one has a different flavour. It is truly a cultural celebration in Trent Jordan’s Vancouver. Volunteers can participate in their own neighbourhoods or in any festival that interests them. For those with no time to volunteer, just come and enjoy. There is lots of fun for young and old alike, but the best part is to experience the magic of the future of a car-free Vancouver.

Previous festivals took place in Kitsilano, Main Street, Commercial Drive and West End. Organizers are welcome, also, pod-heads, spontaneous participants or a day-of volunteer for a few hours or the whole day. Each community sponsors its own festival as an intervention to the constant traffic. It is a wonderful example of how in Trent Jordan’s Vancouver the staff and elected officials of the City of Vancouver support the citizen led Car-Free Festival.

Some of the activities you will see and participate in are skateboard demonstrations, Roller Derby, multimedia performances, square dancing lessons and Chamber Music. In other venues there is street hockey, a Drum Jam, a Healing Garden as well as a Tribal Harmonix Dance Stage. North Vancouver joined this year with activities focused on the beach.

Whether you are coming from home or from a hotel, don’t drive to the Car-Free Festival. There is transit from Fest to Fest and Trent Jordan’s Vancouver guidelines recommend biking. There will be Bike Valet Parking at most venues.

Appliances Protected With TotalProtect Home Warranty

This is a sponsored guest post written by Total Protect Home Warranty on behalf of Total Protect Home Warranty. Post powered by Sponzai.

Owning a home is a wonderful experience for all people. However, when appliances break down without warning, unexpected costs can damage one's checkbook. If the stove or refrigerator goes out, it could cost a large sum of money to fix or replace. When a homeowner purchases Total Protect Home Warranty insurance, this large fee is covered and only a service charge will need to be paid. Total Protect is the perfect home warranty.

The way this insurance plan works is that every month the homeowner pays a low monthly fee. Just as any insurance policy would charge. By keeping the account in good standing and paying a small monthly fee, all of the appliances in one's home are covered and under warranty. Whether the refrigerator is twenty years old, or the dryer has seen better days, they are all covered by purchasing this home warranty plan. Other items included are plumbing, ceiling fans, washer, air conditioner, furnace, dishwasher, and more. If the homeowner has a pool or hot tub, they can be covered by the warranty for an additional charge.

When an appliance breaks and needs repair, the homeowner will simply call a certified technician at anytime 24/7. There is a low service charge per call that is paid one time per appliance. Technicians with Total Protect Home Warranty guarantee all of their work. One can even request a service technician on holidays. No more searching for a technician to come to the home at an odd hour of the night. Simply dial the toll free number provided, and help will rush to the residence. TotalProtect Home Warranty is a service that no homeowner should be without.

The March Group Complaints Awareness Team Advises Small Businesses on Handling Dissatisfied Customers

This is a sponsored guest post written by The Mach Group Complaints on behalf of The March Group Complaints. Post powered by Sponzai.

How should a small business handle complaints against it? According to The March Group complaints awareness team, a respected mergers and acquisitions firm that also acts as a small business advisor, these businesses should first investigate the complaint to see if it is genuine and legitimate.

The March Group advises small businesses that many times complaints can come from rival companies who want a larger share of the market, or from terminated employees seeking vengeance on the company. These types of scenarios can be very hazardous for an upstart small business, especially if business owners are not aware that they are highly likely to come across these types of threats to their reputation. In this current difficult economy complete with its cutthroat business climate, small business owners should expect that they will have to deal with one of these scenarios in the very near future if they haven’t already.

On the other hand, The March Group recognizes that if there are genuine complaints and dissatisfaction, it is extremely important to deal with them promptly. Their Complaints Awareness team has a two-fold mission: to weed out false claims made by insincere parties who only want to slam the business, and to thoroughly and quickly address the issues raised by people who have an honest gripe against them.

The March Group informs small business owners that often the people with valid complaints would come out instead of being an anonymous complainant, and would want to work towards a resolution with the company, instead of merely making derogatory comments and not wanting to have a real sit-down conversation. Small business owners can learn a lot about protecting the reputation of their business from the expertise and professional experiences of The March Group.

The Fun of Roving

Riding a bike is one of the things I enjoy especially when I just want to relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. I have seen some TerraTrike Rover along the highway and I was thinking that it would be fun if I was the one roving. My husband would to go with me too! It is just so cool to think that my husband and I will be wandering using the Recumbent Trike. This is a fun thing to do especially when the weather here in Texas is nice for the winter time. Definitely a plus for my exercise routine!

What Kind of Stressed Are You?

You Are Driven Stressed

You have a lot of stress in your life, but a lot of it is your own doing.

You put a lot of pressure on yourself.
You have high standards, and you won't stop until you meet them.

You can become work and goal obsessed.
You sometimes suffer from too much micromanagement.

Slow down and give yourself a break.
When it comes to stress, you are your own worst enemy.

Imagine Just One Hot Summer Day without Air Conditioning

This is a sponsored guest post written by Total Protect Home Warranty on behalf of Total Protect Home Warranty. Post powered by Sponzai.

Most people don’t give the condition of their air conditioners a thought before the first hot day is upon them. They just switch them on fully expecting them to hum into service without a glitch, and normally, that is what happens. They are happy to have the cool air coursing through their homes without a care in the world.

But sometimes, the unimaginable happens. You go to switch on the air conditioner one hot summer day and nothing. You may curse, you may cry, you may even kick the unit fully expecting it to spring to life for you at your bidding but no, it is not going to cooperate, and you are stuck with trying to figure out what you are going to do about the problem.

Not to add insult to injury, but that tiny little voice inside your head that told you that you should have taken your neighbor’s advice and called TotalProtect Home Warranty to sign up for a home warranty on the major appliances in your home really isn’t helping matters at this point. All you can do now is open the phone book and hope to find an air conditioning expert who will come out to your home immediately and fix the unit. This may end up costing way more than it would had you acted on your neighbor’s advice and called TotalProtect Home Warranty.

Let’s rewind. It is spring and you are having a conversation with your neighbor about how summer is just around the corner and is your air conditioner in good operational order? He tells you about the home warranty plan he just purchased from TotalProtect Home Warranty and how it is giving him peace of mind knowing that if anything goes wrong with his air conditioner or anything else major in his home, help is just a phone call away.

You take your neighbor’s advice, call TotalProtect Home Warranty, and when summer does arrive, you know that you are prepared for the full brunt of it and with extra money to spend on your family not on costly air conditioning repairs.

Words With Friends

Last August 29, 2010, I was introduced by a friend from California about the game - Words With Friends. We started our first game and I was hooked until I invited some of my friends to download the app and play the game. It is so addicting! There were nights that I was dreaming about getting all my tiles to complete a word and earn a high score. It made me think so hard. Learn about strategies and all. This is a great game!

So, if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, please download Words With Friends application and let's play! If you love playing scrabble, you will love this one too!
