This is "My Mini Moment"

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dove Ice Cream. All opinions are 100% mine.

For the last two months, I have been complaining about the cold weather in North Dakota. It's very unpredictable! I can only count the days where we have nice and warm weather and I just love it. Suddenly, everything changes. Where did the spring go? I can only imagine what temperature we will have this coming summer time. Summer is really nice up north, no complains about that. Just when some people complain how humid the weather down south, that's the time we are enjoying the cool summer up north.

And when it's summer time, my husband and I have our own "me time" even just for a day. I can just sit in the couch and enjoy Dove Ice Cream Miniatures with 70 calories or less which is really the perfect treat while watching TV. Nothing beats chocolate when it comes to ice cream flavor! I mean, who doesn't love chocolate? Everybody does! It's the perfect treat for me.

It would be nice to have my own "mini moment" this summer. Summer time is just perfect for everything. I can do a lot in just one day. Luckily, DOVE® Ice Cream Miniatures has launched the "My Mini Moment" contest. DOVE® Ice Cream is asking women to share their favorite mini moment of escape and one lucky winner could win one of 3 sensational mini-grand prizes:
  • A mini-getaway to Napa Valley
  • Spa services for a year
  • A mini-home makeover
How cool is that? I want to win all the 2 sensational mini-grand prizes! Here's your chance to win a mini moment! All you have to do is submit a photo and short essay at DoveIceCream.com/myminimoment by June 7, 2010. Everyone has their own idea of what their favorite mini-escape would be. That’s why DOVE® Ice Cream Miniatures has given you three luxuriously indulgent choices. What are you waiting for?

Postcard Design

I am invited to a Baby Shower party on Sunday! Two mommies will be given a baby shower hosted by one of our friends. That was nice of her to host the party. I bet it is not easy to organize everything from invitation, diaper cake and games. No problem with the food because it's a potluck style. So everyone will be bringing good food on Sunday! I have attended so many baby shower parties in the past and I was thinking if I can handle hosting one baby shower for a friend in the future. I should start searching for some unique ideas and ask some of my friends.

(sample invitation only)

With the help of internet, maybe I can find something unique to organize my first ever hosted baby shower party. It would be a lot of fun, I guess. First, I have to start with the unique invitation. I was thinking to create a photo postcards invitation to send out to my friends. That way, everyone will see how pretty pregnant moms can be. There's more time for me to practice how to make diaper cake or better yet, I will ask my friend who knows how to make them. Good luck to me!

Trent Jordan Talks About How to Utilize Social Media

This is a sponsored guest post written by Trent Jordan on behalf of Trent Jordan. Post powered by Sponzai.

If you run an online business, then you are probably well aware of the importance of maintaining a presence on the major social media networking sites. Without a presence on these sites, you are simply leaving your business's fate to chance. There is no doubt that your customers, partners and prospects are on these sites talking about your business, so don't you think that it would be a good idea to be on these sites yourself, exerting a bit of control over the conversation?

Even if you are on the major social networking sites, it is unlikely that you are utilizing them to their full potential unless you have had some training and guidance from an expert in the field. They say that 80% of success is simply showing up, but that isn't necessarily the case on social media websites. On these sites, your reputation is by far the most important aspect. If you aren't correctly managing and improving the reputation of your business, then there is a good chance that you are hurting it.

Probably the best way to ensure that you are getting the most out of social media is to hire a consultant like Trent Jordan.
Trent Jordan has worked with countless businesses to give them the training they need to double or even triple the success of their online business. It may seem easy to simply sign up for a Twitter account and begin talking with your prospects, but if you aren't networking in the correct manner, then you are probably leaving a lot of money on the table.

One of the biggest mistakes many companies make is to talk about their business and products much too often.
Trent Jordan teaches companies how to build relationships with their prospects in order to build trust and rapport. Trent Jordan can teach your business how to focus on its customers’ needs so that people will line up to buy your product on the rare occasions that you mention it.

I'm Invited!

Few minutes ago, my boss from work handed me an invitation card. One of my friends sent me a baby shower invitation. And guess what? It will be held at Jamestown Campground where I work. Thanks to Irene who will be hosting the Baby Shower.

All I need to do now is save my earnings to buy baby clothes for Charice and Elisha. I am also thinking what food to bring. The party will be potluck style. I have to dig some good dishes from Mom's cookbook and choose the best one. Any suggestions?

Planning on Moving?

Our good friends decided to move down south because they cannot take the cold weather up north. I can't blame them if suddenly they changed their minds about moving. They have been living at their old house for 29 years and left special memories through the years. Moving is sad and fun. It is sad to move when you will leave the place close to your hearts, good friends and good neighbors. It is fun to move because you will see a new environment. You will meet new faces and make new friends. Better yet, moving to a much better place.

It is good to know that there are Los Angeles Movers that will help you move from one place to another. They conduct business with strong values of honesty, care and efficiency. You are sure that your things are all in good condition and well taken care of. Movers Los Angeles will guarantee to take the utmost care of all your belongings and no need to stress yourself for any damages. You know you can count on them when it comes to efficient moving. Crawfish-Crayfish-Crawdads

Louisiana is famous for crawfish. Louisiana crawfish are usually boiled live in a large pot with heavy seasoning like salt, cayenne pepper, lemon, garlic and bay leaves. You can also add potatoes, corn on the cob, onions, mushroom and sausage. When we spent our remaining three months winter vacation, we went to Texas and some Chinese Buffet restaurant served crawfish.

Crawfish are freshwater crustaceans resembling small lobsters to which they are related. They breathe through feather-like gills and are found in bodies of water that do not freeze to the bottom; they are also mostly found in brooks and streams where there is fresh water running, and which have shelter against predators.

My friend from Texas can eat five plates of crawfish when they ate out at Chinese Buffet. She's really amazing! She can peel the crawfish faster than anyone I met and she loves eating them.

Apartment For Rent

Recently, I talked to my former high school classmate and was happy to know that she got the job she's been wanting and be able to use what she learned from school. She decided to move out from her parent's house and all she needs to do is look for a nice apartment of her own. I am very sure that she can find a place around Los Angeles Apartments for Rent for reasonable rates. It would be easier for her to start scouting now so she will have more time to get things done. If she's going to look further, she might find Santa Monica Apartments for Rent which is closer to her parent's house or she can also try Pasadena Apartments for Rent. That way, she can compare one apartment from another.

What's Up?

Few days ago, I mean few weeks ago, I have been complaining about the cold weather here in North Dakota. One day, we had nice and cool (about 60 degrees) weather. Then we had a little rain which is really nice. We had one week of below 50 degrees weather, the wind keeps blowing and it made me feel like winter again. I can't even go out for an hour to enjoy spring. I should be wearing tank tops and shorts by now but I am still on my long sleeves and jeans (and work clothes).

There's a lot to complain about the weather but I should stop complaining. Maybe it's just the way it is up here. Maybe there's a reason for everything when the weather doesn't want to cooperate. The farmers needs the sunshine. They need to plow their fields and start planting crops. We need sunshine!

Neil Kornswiet and Other Real Estate Professionals Look to Seattle

This is a sponsored guest post written by Neil Kornswiet on behalf of Neil Kornswiet. Post powered by Sponzai.

The real estate news for cities like Seattle is actually looking up despite the recent downturn in the economy that has seen home values plummet over the last couple of years. The current median home price is $371,000, which is approximately 15 percent lower than the median value in 2006. That is the bad news. But real estate professionals such as Neil Kornswiet have been watching the market and putting together the facts, and it looks like things are looking up in some lucky cities like Seattle.

Although there has been a 15.2 percent decrease in Seattle’s median home values since 2006, experts say that by June of 2011 there should be a gain of 3.8 percent. Part of the good real estate news for Seattle has to do with its vibrant economy with major employers such as Boeing and Microsoft, which has allowed the city to avoid the major unemployment woes of other areas of the country. The city’s 8.8 percent unemployment rate sounds pretty rosy compared to cities like Detroit and others that have suffered more greatly during the bad economy. And the decrease in home values might seem bad, but it is actually about half the national average.

Experts say there will still be another 2.3 percent decrease in home values in Seattle over the next couple months, but after June, things should start looking up. Real estate analysts estimate a 6.2 percent gain between June 2010 and June 2011, which will average out to a 3.8 percent increase over the next two years.

This may not seem like the most positive real estate news since there will be no double-digit increases in home values any time soon, but the fact that values are increasing instead of decreasing is very good news indeed. It appears as if things will stop getting worse and start getting better very soon.

Snow in May

Today is May 7, 2010. My husband woke me up and asked me if I want to see the snow. I was still half asleep when I got up and thinking about his ridiculous question. Snow? Why there's snow in May? It is suppose to be the season of spring from March 20 to June 20 and now we are all getting few inches of snow. So I looked at the window and from there, I can see the snow was falling. Where did spring go?

I went to work and took few photos to post here. My car was covered with snow. My husband thought that it is time to mow the grass but it snowed. There were few cars that had accidents on the interstate and luckily they got some help immediately. It's funny to think but today is really snowing. I felt like May 7th is Christmas day!

Insurance Quotes

My husband is looking for a new truck this year or maybe a used truck is all he need for now. He needs a truck to load and unload some materials for his ongoing project. I don't want him to carry all the materials using my car because it won't fit and it's just too small for everything. I suggested that he can buy a cheap used truck for utility use. From there, maybe we can find cheap insurance for the used truck he wants to buy. We can also get free Los Angeles Insurance quotes online and start from there. It will save us some money if we can get cheaper auto insurance.

Summer Bummer

My friend from Texas sent me a picture message few hours ago and I got jealous with what she's wearing down south. Alright, just a little bit jealous! The photo above shows that she's enjoying the weather down south while I am still in my jeans, shirt and jacket (or sometimes scrubs when at work). I can't help but smile and sent her a message telling her that I am still wearing my work clothes. She said it's 83 degrees where she at while our temperature here is 49 degrees. Oh, I cannot wait for the summer time here!

House Makeover

Makeover is an overall beauty treatment that is intended to change or improve the appearance. I can still remember what my friend told me if ever she won the Extreme Home Makeover. She loves to cook, that's why she wants to have a fabulous kitchen where she can do everything. It would be a lifetime dream to have what she wants.

But for now, she will set aside that dream and she will start cleaning and organizing their house. I wish I am there to help her clean just like what she did to me by helping me clean our house. I keep telling her that it would be fun for us to clean their house. I reminded her about their windows that it needs cleaning before they can put exterior shutters. The shutters will enhance the appearance of their window which I think will look really nice. She also told me that she wants to change the color of her wall to green. It would be nice if its emerald or fern green but whatever color she decides for her wall, I am sure that it's a nice color. I cannot wait to see the transformation of their house in the picture.
