Staying Healthy!

My husband and I are really trying to lose some weight. We have succeeded on that matter when we were in Hawaii for three months. All we had to do is eat healthy foods such as vegetables, lean meat, seafood and fruits. We were walking, running and jogging (my part) everyday for hours as long as we got tired. We were so happy that we achieved our weight goal. It really showed that we can do it. Plus, the tropical weather in Hawaii helped us a lot as we can go to the park everyday. It was such a wonderful time for us.

Hapuna Beach, Big Island, Hawaii

Now that we are back in the mainland, we are still watching what we eat and very conscious about it. I just wished that we could take a walk outside just like what we did in the park back in Hawaii. My husband is very supportive and he's really taking good care of himself. He knows when to stop eating and he really follows what I say. After all, it is for our own good. Right, Hubby?

No Internet!

Alright, I am back now! For one week, I don't have an internet connection. It has been one crazy week for me for not having a connection, there's no other means to go blogging. I am using my BlackBerry Tour phone to chat with my family back home and Facebook but it is limited. After all those things I had, I still survived!

Let Me See!

My husband is wearing prescription eyeglasses. He said, it cost him a fortune when he first got it. Eyeglasses helps him to read and see little things. But his prescription eyeglass has worn out and needs a replacement. We checked on several eyeglasses that he like but it was too expensive. He just want the simple one and better eyeglasses that he can use everyday.

My friend from California told me that she got her eyeglasses from Zenni Optical. She told me that she's really satisfied with the quality of her eyeglasses. It has a unique design and its fashionable! Eyeglasses are definitely a personal fashion and style item that you use everyday. You don't need to spend too much on prescription eyeglasses because at Zenni Optical, they bring the very high quality product of great durability, safety and comfort at truly reasonable and affordable prices. Stop paying too much on your eyeglasses!

What Type of Valentine Are You?

You Are a Content Valentine

While you don't put all your hope in Valentine's Day,
you do think of as a holiday to spark some romance.

You prefer a holiday that's romantic, cozy, and very intimate.
You don't need your partner to pull out all the stops... just a few stops.

The most important thing about Valentine's Day is who you spend it with.
You could make a fast food dinner special.

That's not to say you don't want to be wined and dined a little by your Valentine.
You just aren't looking for a whirlwind trip or an expensive gift.

Funny or Too Sexual?

I was reading my favorite blog - Call Center Confidential and saw this lubricant ad photo. I don't know about you guys, but I find the photo pretty hilarious. At first, I was wondering why the girl is standing while there are empty seats on the train. Some people may find this lubricant ad photo offensive, too sexual or just plain funny.

Tell me what you think about the photo. You can also leave comments.

Can Cold Water Clean Dishes?

A friend of mine sent something in my e-mail and thought of sharing this one to all of you. Have fun reading!

NOTE: This is for all the germ conscious folks that worry about using cold water to clean the dishes.

John went to visit his 90-year-old grandfather in a very secluded, rural area of Saskatchewan. After spending a great evening chatting the night away, the next morning, John's grandfather prepared breakfast of bacon, eggs and toast.

However, John noticed a film like substance on his plate and questioned his grandfather asking, "Are these plates clean?" His grandfather replied, "They're as clean as cold water can get 'em. Just you go ahead and finish your meal, Sonny!"

For lunch, the old man made hamburgers. Again, John was concerned about the plates, as his plate appeared to have tiny specks around the edge that looked like dried egg and asked,

"Are you sure these plates are clean?" Without looking up, the old man said, "I told you before, Sonny, those dishes are as clean as cold water can get them. Now don't you fret and I don't want to hear another word about it!"

Later that afternoon, John was on his way to a nearby town and as he was leaving, his grandfather's dog started to growl and wouldn't let him pass. John yelled and said, "Grandfather, your dog won't let me get to my car!" Without diverting his attention from the football game he was watching on TV, the old man shouted, "Coldwater, go lay down now, yah hear me!"

Saints Won Super Bowl!

The New Orleans Saints are NFL champions! The Saints win Super Bowl, 31-17 over Indianapolis Colts. We were cheering at the Meyer's place while watching the game. At first, I was terrified that the Saints had zero (0) score over the Colts but little by little they are gaining points and won the game!

New Orleans Quarterback - Drew Brees

After the Hurricane Katrina ravaged New Orleans, the Saints got no home and today, Sunday, it paid off to its first Super Bowl title with a record-setting, MVP performance of Drew Brees in Super Bowl XLIV. The Saints defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 31-17. Go SAINTS!

The Taste of Italy!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

The month of the hearts and love is here! Time really fly so fast. I was just absorbing our Christmas and winter getaway in Hawaii and here comes the month of love! Where did January go? I know that everyone is waiting for the month of February to come. Everybody is preparing something special for their loved ones and friends. Everyone is catching up to go shopping to get something. That is actually what I am doing since February 1st. I have been looking at the mall and browsing great deals online on what I could give to my husband. I have been patiently sweeping the malls and carefully getting details online. I still have one week to go to complete my Valentine surprise for him.

I asked him what he wants for Valentine's Day. He said nothing! But still, I want to make it something extra special for him as we celebrate the Heart's Day. Then I thought, maybe a weekend getaway will be best for us two. We could go somewhere to entertain ourselves. There are a lot of things to do in Branson, Missouri. The good food, the live music, places to shop, a walk in a river or other attractions that will interest us. It would be a lot of fun! Since I am a pasta lover, the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel is bringing Italy to Branson, Missouri with their exclusive Italian Culinary Weekend from Friday, February 26th through Saturday, February 27th. The weekend will kick off Friday evening with a reception featuring antipasto and hors d’oeuvres paired with great Italian wines. On Saturday, participants will experience a hands-on cooking demonstration highlighting some of the items from Friday’s evening reception in addition to some of the menu items featured in the 5-course meal served Saturday evening. It is so cool that I will be experiencing the taste of Italy while staying at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing or the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel!

The package costs are based on double occupancy and start at $429.00 (excluding tax and gratuity) for two people. It includes deluxe king or double queen accommodations Friday and Saturday night, Friday evening reception, Saturday cooking school, Saturday evening five-course dinner, and a goodie bag filled with items for the home chef. Reservations must be made prior to February 23, 2010. It would be the best gift ever for him and I love it! We will be visiting the state of Missouri again! The place where everybody enjoys shopping, museums, the music and the food! All in one place that brings joy and smile to each and everyone. We will have fun at Branson, Missouri checking every place while we are there.

Change is Better!

I have been staring at my blog for hours and no words coming out from my head. I decided to make some changes. I am starting to delete all the people's blogs and save those people who pay me a visit. I guess that is fair on my part. I visit their blog and some people pays me a visit, some do not!

So the changes will be much better as I am saving the badges so it will be easy for me to visit them back. Please hit me back if you want to exchange badges and I would be gladly to save your badges in my blogs. I will eventually finish the job but it may take time, so please bear with me... Thank you!

What Kind of Diner Food Are You?

You Are Meatloaf

You are old fashioned and traditional.
In fact, you'd go as far as to call yourself retro.

You have a strong appreciation for the classics, especially forgotten classics.
Why try to invent the wheel?

You prefer well established restaurants with menus that don't change.
An old diner is right up your alley.

You're also the type most likely to always order the same thing.
Why mess with perfection?
