Spread The Love

Now that another year had passed, there are so many things that I want to accomplish. I want to improve myself. I want to become productive everyday of my life. I know I can do it. I just need a little of motivation and strong determination to achieve my goals in life. With my husband, my family and friends around me, I know everything will be great for me.

I grabbed this tag from Donabel - Memoirs of a Pinay in America. I know I should have grabbed this ages ago after she posted it but I have been busy with my chores here. So here I am, spreading all the love this new year! To all my friends, I want you to grab this award. Happy blogging this year of 2009!

My Domain Name

Finally! The change has come. I got my own domain name. It took me 3 days to wait for my domain to appear completely in my browser. I think 3 days is enough for the transition of my blog. My heartfelt appreciation to Ivy - My So Called Life who guide me all the way for my blog makeover and who suggested to have my own domain name.

I am now using my new domain. I hope you will be patient to update my URL - http://www.hazelholbrook.com/ in your blogs. I will try to visit each and everyone of you to personally send you a message. Thank you for visiting my page!

New Year's Resolution

A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other. I am not fond of making my own new year's resolution as I am bad following them.

Tips for keeping New Year's resolutions:
  • Be realistic
  • Plan ahead
  • Outline your plan
  • Make a 'pro' and 'con' list
  • Talk about it
  • Reward yourself
  • Track your progress
  • Don't beat yourself up
  • Stick to it
  • Keep trying
New Year's Resolution for everybody:
  • Choose to LOVE rather HATE
  • Choose to SMILE rather than FROWN
  • Choose to BUILD rather than DESTROY
  • Choose to PERSEVERE rather than QUIT
  • Choose to PRAISE rather than GOSSIP
  • Choose to HEAL rather than WOUND
  • Choose to GIVE rather than TAKE
  • Choose to ACT rather than DELAY
  • Choose to FORGIVE rather than CURSE
  • Choose to PRAY rather than DESPAIR
May the New Year bring lots of happiness and prosperity for you! Cheers to a New Year and another chance for us to get it right.

New Year's Celebration

an empty bottle of champagne

How's your new year's eve? Did you party all night? I bet all of us have different ways on how we celebrate the new year. As for me and my husband, we watched the countdown on the TV and prepared our bottle of champagne. We had pot roast and steaks for dinner. We didn't have much food for the new year's eve because we planned to go out on new year's day.

We stayed all night watching movies while we are waiting for the countdown. I couldn't believed it, another year had passed. It means, another fresh year for blessings, challenges and another year old for all of us. After watching the countdown, we finished the whole bottle of champagne and watch few more movies then went to bed. I got a little tipsy. The husband and I savor the fresh night of new year.

On new year's day, my husband and I went out for a little shopping in town. He really needs a new thermal boots to keep his feet and toes warm when we go outside the snowy winter. I got myself a new pair of jeans. We decided to watch a movie but we dropped it because the movie - Yes Man starring Jim Carrey will not start at around 7PM. The last part of our new year celebration was to stuffed ourselves with scrumptious meal.

Put on your hat because it is time to celebrate! For the coming year of 2009. I welcome it with so much dreams and filled with joy. I don't want to make any New Year's resolution as I am bad following it. But I am thinking of improving myself, become more productive and embrace all the challenges that will come my way.

I thank God for the good health and wonderful blessing He showered me for the past years. I am so grateful for everything. This New Year, show some love and be a blessing to other people. Take time to contemplate on so many things. I wish everyone a wonderful New Year!
