Weekend Gathering

After celebrating the 4th of July all by ourselves, my husband's daughter - Theresa and her family came over to spend a night with us. We had a little cook out - a delicious beef roast and veggie stir-fry. We ate together and really had fun being together. I would say that I like spending time with them because it brings the family closer. After eating our lunch, we had a great time harvesting some of the vegetables in the garden - potatoes, cabbages, bell peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and beans.

It was really wonderful to share with them the vegetables that Winn planted. It was really fresh, crunchy and delicious vegetables from the garden. We harvested just about everything that is ready to be picked and we have like a handful and had three plastic bags for all of the vegetables we gathered. We were thinking of putting a sign outside the house - Fresh Produce For Sale - to sell the fresh vegetables from the garden. After all, we can't really harvest and eat them all. So it is better to sell them to the people who wish for a fresh and newly harvested vegetables.

Earlier today, we cooked breakfast and ate together. We really had fun. We went to church after breakfast and had fun watching movie. Tyler - Winn's grandson will spend his whole summer with us. He will be helping us out to pack all our things as we will be moving out pretty soon.
