Wonderful Rainbow

It has been raining since we got home from our 2 weeks summer trip. For the past 2 weeks we have been gone, it never rained. The vegetable garden was dry and some are dying. My husband was worried. He watered all the plants and trees to bring them to life again. It's good that after watering the plants and trees, there comes a heavy rain. We were so happy that the rain will bring goodness to them. It makes them grow fuller and bear more fruits and vegetables.

I was sitting in front of my computer desk when my husband called me and told me there's a rainbow. So I took a picture of the rainbow. It is the reflection of the sun through different layers of the clouds forming a rainbow. Rainbows can be caused by other forms of water than rain, including mist, spray, dew, fog, and ice. Moreover, rainbows can have shapes other than a bow (arc), including stripes, circles, or even flames.

It was believed that the Irish leprechaun's secret hiding place for his pot of gold is usually said to be at the end of the rainbow. This place is impossible to reach, because the rainbow is an optical effect which depends on the location of the viewer. When walking towards the end of a rainbow, it will move further away. In the book of Genesis, after Noah's Deluge, the Bible relates that the rainbow gained meaning as the sign of God's promise that terrestrial life would never again be destroyed by flood. The rain is over and its gonna be a wonderful day.
