I've been working really hard this summer to lose weight and I'm so proud to say that I've lost 20 pounds! This is something that I've been wanting to do for a long time and I finally reaped the rewards when I went shopping for fall clothes. But to go with all of those things, I need to make sure that I also get a few cute purses to go with my new downsized wardrobe so that I'll look all cute and pulled together with my new physique.

When it came to my accessories though, I did some online shopping because I wouldn't have to try those one and decide which size to wear. While I was online shopping for the purses, I ran across some info on clear TV. I looked through it and showed it to my roommates before I decided to change over our TV service to it.

I did find the perfect fall purse with this neutral light brown as the main color and dark gray as the accent colors on it. It looks so ladylike but still hip enough so that it will go with most of my outfits.

It's My Vacation Party

Now that I'm finally feeling out of work for the winter, I feel that it's time to do some traveling. My husband and I spent our summer time in North Dakota while I'm working from April to October. The months that I am at work, we couldn't really enjoy our summer time as other people did. Business first before pleasure as what other people say. And that's what we did for the whole six months we were there.

Last week, we finally close our doors for the campers and the camping season is over. It is time for us to enjoy ourselves and spend that moment we have been waiting for - the winter vacation. Our summer job up north was really good and it was overwhelming. We met a lot of travelers from all over United States and Canada. We some people from Europe too!

Now that our job is over for the year, it's time for us to party!

Yesterday, September 29th, I celebrated my 29th birthday. I felt so loved and happy. My husband and some good friends made my day extra special. They brought cake and ice cream. When I was a kid, I dream of being in the commercial model of a toothpaste brand. But that didn't work as I grew up. I let it slipped away. Love What You Wear!

I must love my body, even if it's not perfect. I must take care of my body, even if it's not physically fit. When I go for clothes shopping, I go for nice and comfortable clothing. The fashion and style should be secondary. All of us wants to look nice and feel good. Our clothes will speak for itself. We should choose the right size and style for our physique.

Two or three years ago, I had a hard time choosing what style of clothing to wear. Don't get me wrong but sometimes, I went gaga for clothes shopping not knowing if it will look good on me. I was an impulsive buyer. It didn't do me any good and my money went to waste. I could have save a lot of money. I should have known better.

Some of my friends are curvaceous, but their full-figured physique didn't stop them for being stylish and fashionable. Some women can just pull it off with their nice and voguish plus size clothes. They just know how to accessorize that will complement to what they are wearing. Now, that's real fashion!

The Wildlife

There are many reasons why I want to go to Alaska. I want to see the nature and the wildlife. I wonder how the animals can live longer during the winter time. I understand that some animals hibernate and some just hunt for the food to stay alive. But I don't think I can be tough in a very cold weather. In North Dakota, though we have some nice weather, I still dread the long winter over here. I wish that animals can hunt a lot of food for them to eat to survive the long winter especially in Alaska.

I've always wanted to be sexy. You know. The super sexy like a supermodel on TV, billboards and magazines. Unfortunately, no matter what I do, being a supermodel remains to be just a dream. I don't have the height, definitely no long legs to flaunt and I'm just an ordinary human being. But still, I am happy to be me. I am perfectly fine beyond my imperfections. I am what I am!

I have some few friends who's been struggling the way they shop their clothes. Luckily, there's a pretty cool store for those full-figured woman. Hello Monday!

How are y'all today? Another Monday for us again. How did your Monday go? As for me, I went to work at 7AM. I did some cleaning, paying bills, went to post office for all our mails. I went ahead and finished bookkeeping today. Though I'm not done yet but I will get there in time. I have all the time to do all the things that needs to be done. I have a way of sorting what's next in line.

Maybe two more months to go and my six-month job for the summer will be over this year. Yes! I'm screaming at the top of my lungs - I'm excited for my winter vacation! I miss our house in Texas. I'm going to see my friend too. Maybe, after getting things settled when we come home, we might go on a trip. I still don't know where yet but I think, my Hubby got a plan. I need to find out what it is because I am very excited!

Just My Luck

I have been lucky lately. Though, my hands are still tied from my regular summer job, I still get good offers from blogging. Who can passed up an opportunity like this? Not me! I never thought I would be married to a different race. My husband is a United States citizen while I am from the Philippines. I gave up on love. I never had a serious boyfriend while in school. Though I cannot hide that I envy some of my classmates who got boyfriends while in college. But I was really fine being single. I just can't find myself on a date on Valentine's Day with someone special.

After college, some of my friends who's older than me found their someone special from a dating site where it is cherished and treasured. Few months ago, I visited a friend in Florida and her family. They met on a special dating site and they have one daughter together. I can tell that they are an ideal and happy family. The product of a dating site, a family with full of love, happiness and harmony.

Finding a Home

Who would ever say NO to Hawaii? If you love the tropical weather, the fusion of Asian cuisines, the adventures on the islands, the beautiful white sand beaches and interesting culture, then you might want to live and enjoy the beautiful islands of Hawaii. The islands of Hawaii for me is a paradise. A perfect getaway for me and my husband when we needed the break from work. I miss exploring the beauty of Hawaii. We still have some islands to visit to complete all the islands. I would love to go back.

There's a lot to do in Hawaii. I was never bored when my husband and I spent our winter twice in Hawaii. It's always been the ideal getaway from the harsh winter in North Dakota. I was lucky enough to be able to explore three islands in Hawaii. If ever we will go back, we like to check Hawaii Realtors to gather informations about the properties they're selling. Who knows, we might just buy a house for the winter and enjoy the tropical weather while everyone is bundled up.

The American Pickers

My husband and I are watching some shows at History Channel. It's an interesting channel where you learn about history of a certain thing. From vintage cars to signage, from little trinkets to old furniture, everything has a story to tell. I myself enjoy the shows Pawn Stars and American Pickers. It drives me to the past where even a single silver spoon made by a famous American silversmith can be worth thousand of dollars. How cool is that?

I never did stop learning. Learning is always fun. If there is a way to learn, I do it because I need to know them. Thanks to History Channel for producing relevant and interesting shows like these. It is good for everybody.

Severe Thunderstorms

In just one week, we had two thunderstorms visited our county. It wasn't that really bad just like the one reported down south but people get scared. The first thunderstorm we had three nights ago, the campground office was open until nine o'clock to accommodate campers who keeps coming back asking about the weather report.

It is a scary thought that thunderstorms can do damage to our property. The thunder and lightning can strike big trees, buildings, people and just about everything. I have to admit that I am a little scared to even think about it and I am even more scared when something goes wrong and do damage to any of our property. The repairs isn't cheap and I know it will cost me a fortune. After a big thunderstorm, my husband will make sure that there are no signs of water damage anywhere in the house, inside and out. I have to make sure that I know who to contact right away if ever we need repairs and clean after the mess.

Break Time

Alright, I got my break yesterday morning. I was out from the campground five minutes to nine and it feels so good to finally have a little break. I went grocery shopping for our necessities and went to small department stores in town. Our town is small so I guess we can't just have it all here. If I need to go shop for a name brand clothing, I have to go all the way to Fargo and drive 100 miles to go shopping. But that's just not gonna happen anytime soon. 

My break lasted for about two hours and I am back at work again. You see, working six months of the year has its advantages and disadvantages. A job with lot of perks and a little drawback. But, I have no complains. Maybe next time, I can get longer breaks than the usual two hours.

I have seen kids who got birth defects. I was thinking that maybe the mother experienced a lot of trauma, been smoking, drinking alcohol or worst, taking pills not prescribed by a doctor. My heart goes out for all babies and kids who suffer from it. Pregnant women should read labels and get involved with all the information if they have taken paxil. Fashionable Scrubs

My friend in Texas works at nursing home for over three (3) years and I work in a campground for over three (3) years now. We live in Texas during winter time and I get to see her only when we are home in Texas. When she's off from work, we made sure that we see each other. One time, she came to visit me and she's still wearing her cute and stylish cotton nursing scrubs. She looks fashionable wearing them. I asked her where she buy all her cotton medical scrubs because I want to be comfortable when I'm working in the campground. It would be my cute "campground uniform" without worrying what to wear for work the next day.

4th of July Aftermath

How was your 4th of July go? Did you prepare lots of food for the whole family and friends? Did you shoot some fireworks? What other summer activities you did last weekend? Did you have fun? Are you all stuffed from the good food? 

As for me, I worked all day since July 1st. Ever since I started working in a campground, I never did go anywhere to enjoy the full day of 4th of July. But I enjoyed it. The campers brought us lots of food in the office. We had crawfish etouffe, hamburgers, hotdogs, pork chops, barbecue spareribs and beef brisket. We had different kinds of cakes too! We had cupcakes, birthday cake, cheesecake, and strawberry pies. We're all stuffed. We didn't have to worry about what to cook because the campers were so nice bringing all good food.

No matter what happen, we have something to get for emergencies or we will be thankful enough because we have money to pay all the bills. First Place in the Sandcastle Building Contest

The resort town where our family has a beach house always hosts an annual sandcastle building contest around the 4th of July. Well, last year our family actually won first place in it! We always did pretty well at it, but we were all really excited and surprised when we won overall last year.

Well, I thought that it wouldn't hurt to do some research on designs before hand. So I was doing that online a few days ago when I saw hearingaidsbymiracleear.com and read through it. Then after that I got a hearing test done and got fitted with some comfy feeling hearing aids.

It's almost like they're not even there! Which is good because we're really going to have to pull our weight at the sandcastle building contest this year and I don't need any distractions from building the best sandcastle ever in that short amount of time. I know that we're going to have some stiff competition, but I really think that we can pull together and win first place again.

When I started working, my wake up time is 4:30AM. I make it a point that I have so much time to prepare before heading to work. My job starts at 6AM and at 5:30AM, I should be waiting for the bus to take me to work. I allow about 30 minutes for me to go to work because I hate to be late. I was never ever late even I was still a student. I made sure that I'm always on time or five to ten minutes earlier before the time. I grew up to be punctual.

You're often more tired than you'd like, and you're probably not getting enough quality sleep. Sleeping a little more could make you a lot more energetic and happy. Try having a bedtime, keep your bedroom cool, and only eat fruit before bed.

When I got the job here in United States, I have to wake up at 7AM and work for fourteen hours. Then I have to go to bed by 10PM. So I get about eight to nine hours of sleep depending on how tired I am. I could be in bed and stayed awake for several hours, sometimes I'm knocked down after a long day of work.

Hello Saturday!

I always love it when you come. I always thought that every time Friday comes a long, you will be the next one to cheer me up and it never fails. You always brighten up my day. Why? Maybe because you fall on weekends and you know that everybody love weekends especially if its Saturday. Picnic on the lake, mini parties for a get together, birthdays or sometimes, cook-out at the porch. How cool is that? We all love you, Saturday! Will you stay longer than 24 hours? Please?

It might not happen in real life anytime soon but I am going to get an idea on July 1st to see the adventures and misadventures of three friends posing as wealthy socialites in Monaco. It will be a fun movie for the whole family!

100 Days To Heaven

100 Days to Heaven tells the story of Anna Manalastas (Coney Reyes), the strict CEO of The Toy Company. Due to her painful past, she becomes a cold and unkind person. Employees of the company are either afraid of her or hold grudges against her because of her strict and authoritarian attitude towards them and others.

My daily dose of drama did not stop when three (3) of my favorite shows ended. First was Mutya, next was the Green Rose and the last one was Mara Clara. I am having my Filipino dose of drama shows for almost 7 months now. What I'm watching right now is 100 Days to Heaven.

Let's Party!

Before I got married, my life was just a happy-go-lucky one. My job life started at 5AM and ends at 4PM. I was already home by 4:30PM or 5PM. But I still get to go out at night sometimes. Every other 2 weeks, I get to party with my officemates because of the reason that we got our own paychecks. We go to this famous Nightclubs in town and party all night. Everyone had a good time after that night. What can I say? We like to enjoy and party!

When I came here in United States, I have never been to any nightclubs. Maybe because my husband isn't the party goer type which in my case is really fine. But maybe, if ever we will visit New York City and be able to explore the city at night, I would try some of the New York Nightclubs in town. I guess, I just want to experience it what its like. Maybe I could grab one or two drinks and party all night just to experience New York Nightlife. I have friends in California and Las Vegas who experienced the nightclubs there and they all had fun. She told me that she will bring me there and we will party all night. Sounds fun to me!

Getting Mails

Our Postman here in town loves me. Every week, I get bunch of postcards in our mailbox. My hobby is to collect postcards all over the world. I have fun sending and receiving postcards from all over the globe. I am collecting any kind of postcards to keep. Right now, I'm collecting the 50 states map, Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Lighthouses and traditional costume of a country.

I can't wait to start cross-country with my husband again. I will definitely stop in every state to get postcards to keep. So if ever you will read this, please help me with my journey. Send me postcards. Thank you very much.

Are you thinking of purchasing a car? Last winter, I have been in a dilemma about car shopping. I was weighing my options before choosing the right car for me. I was thinking if I buy the small car, gas wise, that's all I need. But my husband and I travels a lot during the winter time so I might as well choose a bigger car or an SUV that is accessible for traveling. A Savvy Satellite Internet

When I came here in United States, I never did worry about how to hook-up on a pretty good internet. I always think that America is fast forward and I am sure getting connected is really easy. The case was not the usual I have expected and the first thing I have in mind was my family and friends back home. I need to get in touch with them so that I will not feel any homesickness. 

Though my husband lives in a pretty big farm, he never did allow me being sad. He got me a satellite internet together with the TV. How cool is that? He doesn't want me to get bored anytime of the day. I don't want to be bored too. I don't like the idea that I have nothing to fiddle. I must say that even if we live in a rural area, where there's no traffic and big buildings, I get to enjoy fresh air, fresh vegetables grew in the garden, the peace and quiet it has served me well. I don't mind living in the country as long as I have my satellite internet and TV with me.

Hubby is Back!

It feels good to finally see my husband after six days of being gone. The business trip went well. It's our first time to be separated for a long time. I'm a sleepless wife. My phone keeps on ringing the whole day for six days just to check on me. Some people say that I can get over with it but I don't think I can because I don't want to. My husband and I have never been separated for a while and when he's away, it feels like more than a week he's been gone. Thank you, Lord for the safe trip of my husband. 

Bid and Win!

My husband is the one who's a business minded. He's good at it and he plays it really good. He was into exotic animals business years ago and he went to any auction place to sell his exotic animals. He spent all day selling exotic animals and he loved it. He always tell me that he met a lot of auctioneers in many places. Sometimes, he bids and win, sometimes he lose it. I guess that's just of being in the business world.

One time, we went to an auction place where we bought some old furnitures for our old house. If there's one thing I would like to buy for an extreme discount, it would be the new gadgets I have seen in the store. Maybe a DSLR or an iPad will make me happy if I won the bidding. I will check my own bidrack and see if I'm doing any better on my bidding. It would be nice if I win one of the things I have been dreaming to have. I would love to win on bidding some items I want. I would be jumping for so much joy!

Away and Alone

Today marked the 4th day of me being sad. It feels lonely when the husband isn't around to comfort my loneliness but I'm fighting it. Hubby is on a business trip. I know he'll be back and I always tell myself and friends that he needs the vacation for himself. I want him to enjoy first and foremost.

This is the first time that my husband is too far from me but he have to take this special trip. He will see his sister, brother-in-law and his brothers down in Kentucky. They will all meet at his son's place. He was talking to me on the phone telling me that they're enjoying fishing. It is good to know that he's having a good time with his siblings.

Sad Face

There's not much to say today. Though we have a good weather for several days now (80's) and I'm loving it. Until this morning when my husband has to leave to take Sierra back to Kentucky to visit her dad. I know he will be back but the thing is, my husband and I has never been apart for quite this long.

Wherever I go, he was there, we're always together. Even if I just gonna get my hair done, he's with me. Going to the post office to drop off some mails, we are together. We have never been apart since we got married. I miss my husband.

Hello Friday!

How are y'all? I haven't been updating this blog lately because my hands are tied at work. I wish I can do more in a day but my body and brain gets tired after a long day at work. It's the Memorial Day weekend and we're hoping that we get busy at work this weekend. I am sure it's gonna be a long weekend for us.

I am enjoying my hobby. I love sending and receiving postcards all over the world. It all started when I first came here in United States. I sent postcards to my friends where ever I am. Now, that hobby is coming back to life and it's my friend's turn to send me postcards.

Long before the iPad 2 came out in the market, I knew right then that I want one. Since the first version of iPad was introduced to the people, many have dreamt of owning one. With its new technical specifications, the lighter, the better. I am such a sucker for new gadgets. I make it a point that I save enough money to get what I want.

I don't think I could live in a house without a mirror. It's a must in my beautiful home. If I could do it, I want a Leaning wall mirror in every room of the house. So wherever room I may be, I could see myself all the time. But the thought of it makes me wonder to dream of a glass house with lots of wall mirrors. Maybe, my future dream house can make it happen. Remarkable Sunset

I have seen lots of sunset pictures. They're all beautiful. In the northern part of the country where we live, spring season is always late to appear. The weather could be misty, dreary, gloomy, cloudy, windy and it's really unpredictable. We barely get full sunshine all day but we are happy if sunshine will peek at us even if we're not expecting it. Just take a look at the photo above. It's just remarkable!
