Fresh Vegetables

Do you have a vegetable garden? Did you ever pick fresh vegetables from your own garden? Well, we have one! My husband started the vegetable garden ever since the spring time started. He worked so hard to make this happen. He plowed the soil to make it soft. Then he planted the seeds. We were lucky enough to get some few showers to help water the plants. He put fertilizers to help them grow fast and ready to harvest.

He's just so excited working in the garden because he knows that there will be some fresh green leafy vegetables soon. Almost everyday he work in the yard. He hoed the plants for faster and better growth. He always check on them for some bugs and ground moles that will destroy the plants. He even shot the rabbits with a pellet gun to chase them away.

Just two days ago, my husband finally started to harvest some of the vegetables. Lettuce, onions, mustard, radish and turnips. We actually made a wilted lettuce salad, garnished with some bacon pieces. We enjoyed eating the fresh vegetables that we gathered from our garden. All his patience and hard work paid off well because we know that we are going to have fresh vegetables all summer long.
